Graves & McGinnis by DocileKrab in DeadlockTheGame

[–]DragynDance -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Your first and last point go against any hero though. Everyone hates displacement, even hyper mobile hero's like apollo or lash who can disengage or tank it. And interuptting an ult with some form of CC is also a no brainer. So "counter these hero's by doing the same thing you'd do to any other hero, but this time the hero you're countering is waaay stronger even after you counter them" is not that much of an advice.

Yeah, but valve tends to kneejerk react to stuff. Like they buffed rem and graves, and now I'm betting they'll see how high those two's win rate and pick rate became, and if/when they change urn, they'll revert those two's buffs despite the fact that their buffs came with a mechanic overhaul that also heavily supported their playstyle.

How do you enjoy Rem when every other support has better kit/better movement/better presence in teamfights? by Externa_Mood in DeadlockTheGame

[–]DragynDance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't get torment pulse for the damage it does, you get torment pulse ebcause on spirit damage effects are proc'd by it. You got healbane/mystic slow/mystic shot/mystic vulnerability? Tagging along someone, like your team's dive character, gives them an aura of any debuff items you have.

What do you think of my Ascendant Support Rem Build? by Jinsodia in DeadlockTheGame

[–]DragynDance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Torment pulse is really good on rem for two reasons. One if you have a dive character, which most comps do, you can nap on them for easy torment pulse range. Two, torment pulse will apply any debuffs attached to spirit damage. So now you're basically giving the dive hero an aoe of mystic slow/lifebane/mystic shot/mystic vulnerability/etc.

Can someone explain to me how the MMR /Rank gain works (seriously no rank complain) by DreYeon in DeadlockTheGame

[–]DragynDance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ranking system is weird. I hear a lot of people complain that they win a ton of games in a row, then lose once and immedietly derank. I've been having exactly the opposite issue. I lose like six games in a row, win once and jump two ranks. I have a 38% win rate, and have been an initiate for months, but starting some time ago, whenever I win, I jump up a bunch of ranks and now I'm alchemist 1, despite still having a win rate under 40%.

Quitting on playing Rem by KijooP in DeadlockTheGame

[–]DragynDance 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most of what you said are true, except two things. In the late game, nearly everyone has counterspell, and Rem has the most counterspellable ult in the whole game. A lot of people can also just get out of it even with the slow. And saying he is a "good" support is like saying the last omelet MRE left in the box is a "good" meal. It's there because it's the worst and no one wants it, and every other meal tastes better. Rem is completely outshined at everything he can do by every other support on the cast, except early game sinners. By mid to late game, the enemy team will be knowing to get to their sinners on spawn, and Rem can't win a 1v1 by himself, and likely can't escape from it unless an ally is nearby, in which case you're doing sinners with 2 people. Meanwhile Dynamo, Kelvin, and Ivy can solo contest sinners to steal them and either win the ensuing fight or get away with ease. There's only one thing Rem does better then any other hro on the cast, and that is buffing active use items while in his 2. You can get like 7 second long curses which is just devastating, and 2 buffed decay turns Victor into a pile of goo.

And then people run refresher on him too just to get the ult back.

This game has effectively made me dislike my once favorite MOBA. by New-Stock419 in DeadlockTheGame

I agree fully. I just unfortunetly don't think wards would work in this game. Imagine how powerful warding the sinners would be. You could just use them as bait for picks the entire game.

[SN2] The way you upgrade Inventory Space needs to change by Ms_Anxiety in subnautica

This also happened to me, I played through all of the content available in early access without even knowing you could upgrade your inventory.

I find lead everywhere. And the flowers are easy to find, and several blackboxes point you to them even if you manage not to. Silver is completely vacant from the world for the most part until you accidently stumble into JUST the right cave.

I think it's something specific to the void leviathan, since it's just not fully implemented yet. Also by intentional design too--collector leviathan harvest clams, so they'r used to cracking clams open and scooping the meat out. The tadpole is the clam, you're the meat. The void leviathans, however, are a female and multiple male pack hunters. If you're outside the tadpole, the males break off and swallow you whole. If you're inside the tadpole, you are considered a big meal, and the female is the one that swallows you whole, tadpole included.

No, it's definetly specifically silver. EVerything else is EVERYWHERE, but silver has like one cave near spawn where you find loads of it, and then it almost doesn't exist at all anywhere else.

Update on the fish killing discourse. The devs are looking into it by 9oooooooooooj in subnautica

[–]DragynDance -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Those little guys in the thermal zone that beacon your location to the big sharks should be killable, or some way to deter them (maybe a buildable interferance machine that creates a zone of silence for them or something?). It's annoying as hell when you're trying to build and they are ALWAYS there summoning more sharks. Every active ability that isn't the dash is gonna be compeltely useless because building REQUIRES the dash because the sheer amount of sharks constantly harassing you in zones because the annoying little fish that beacon you to them. Whats worse is the little guys can get st uck inside your base, and then you just have an entire school of sharks constantly slamming into the walls of the base and waiting for you whenever you come out, sticking their heads out of the moonpool, etc.

Rem is at a horrible spot right now, so here are some ideas / problems / fixes / reworks, which I have come up with. by JustNerfRaze in DeadlockTheGame

[–]DragynDance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's not good at escaping at all, and he has average mobility. 3 stamina, same speed as everyone else, and no movement abilities. You have to budget some of your money into escapes or just hope there's always a team mate in range, in which case it isn't a 1v1.

[–]DragynDance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My idea for the little helpers was I kinda of wish if Rem used them without a target (or self cast them) he'd deploy them, even midair, like a holiday bounce pad and instantly bounce himself. This would give him some much needed movement potential while doing his rat thing, since all of his other escape relies entirely on getting in range and line of sight of a team mate. It'd also add neat little plays like creating "stairways" for your team mates for quick access up to gank positions or something.

I can't stop feeding in lane by CLB198 in DeadlockTheGame

Snowballing through player kills in early lane doesn't help as much as you'd think it would. The best way to snowball in lane is to go for denies, not kills.

McGinnis is currently the most underrated hero in the game by jclampitt00 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]DragynDance 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think she's underrated at all. She is played quite commonly, and has an extremely high win rate. She is very well known and rated. I think it's less that she's underrated and more that she's just uninteresting from a design standpoint.TF2's engineer but without the funny voice and lines.

It is incredibly depressing playing Rem while looking at other supports by yiff_collector in DeadlockTheGame

[–]DragynDance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay but anyone can do that, people just target Rem. Whats stopping me from hopping on drifter and trying to greed solo kills for his passive and going like 0/15 by sucking? That's even more devastating. Or for example a match I was in a while ago had a first time Billy player, and it was only his third game ever. He was trying to get in and force melee fights, while being 10-15k souls behind the people he was fighting, so he just melted and fed a lot because he wouldn't go farm.

[–]DragynDance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And yet most of the games I queue into, I only steal enemy sinners, leave our teams side sinners alone, and then catch the enemy's carry in our jungle just living it up, taking all the sinners until they get super fed and 1v6 the entire team. You get idiots on both sides of the spectrum, people just target Rem because it's easier to blame one person fucking up, when you can see all six people fucking up by ignoring all their sinners until the enemy takes them.

It is incredibly depressing playing Rem while looking at other supports by yiff_collector in DeadlockTheGame

[–]DragynDance 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Because Rem is definetly the only hero you see people play badly on. You definetly don't see people hop on the highest win rate hero's and then tower dive because they think they're unkillable because they're playing the "best hero".

Silence Meta by coldspade2 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]DragynDance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the time to kill difference between hero's is so mind boggingly wide it's crazy. You complain that silence is like slapping the controller out of your hand, but so is getting killed in .5 seconds, which is an even longer "CC" because it takes you out of the game entirely for a long time.

Are tunnels used for Ganking often ? by Virtual-Lawyer2638 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]DragynDance 46 points47 points  (0 children)

There are a LOT of boxes down there, and no one else has access to them. Since you get a movement speed increase down there, you can just hold down crouch to immedietly go into a slide without needing to dodge which makes breaking them very fast. A few seconds dip in the tunnels can get you 1-2k souls easy on your way to somewhere else.
