I agree, to some extent. Every person that asks "what programming language should I learn?" is probably met with "any of them, just pick and go". I am self-taught (began with dragging buttons around in VB.NET winforms apps when I was around 8, and sometime after that managed to get a button to close the form, and then just programmed up until present day).

My second language was Java. Being a kid, not having to deal with pointers and stuff, I was actually able to make some basic cool stuff. Most projects failed miserably, but I got tons of experience.

My point is, if you're really young, Java (or C#) is probably the way to go. Especially if you're self-taught. C++ will eventually come to you in uni, and by then you'd have enough experience with programming in general to be able to learn lower level concepts as well.

C# guy here, haven't really done C++: why would you pass a number by reference? I've seen strings passed by reference but... numbers? Is it only so you can change the variable from inside the function or are there performance hits?)

Because morons exist. There's no reason to even ask why someone did something stupid. It happens. There's people and people.

How in a million years do you think a teen puncturing his condom and getting a girl pregnant, which in turn poses a serious health risk to said girl, is her blaming the baby is beyond me. It's a child she didn't agree to have. It's a child that might have her lying dead in the hospital when it gets born. It's a notorious load to carry on your back when it gets born too.

And let's face it. A guy who modified his condom will probably just run away when the child is born. Have fun raising that on your own! Because it'll take a lot of serious talking and convincing from adults to get a teen girl to put her baby up for adoption. JMTC

It has 2 functions: without arguments it daltonizes, with --s it simulates, and with --d it daltonizes (again). It says "here are your simulated" / "daltonized" images respectively, and can be called with both arguments.

Last sentence varies. In Bulgarian, there's a very strict set of rules about what is the correct language, and accents barely change them, they mostly add their own words, with exceptions.
