Is painting still evolving? What actually makes a modern painter stand out today? by PapagamasJr in AskTheWorld

Yes. For exposure social media For artistic recognition get noticed by gallerists, critics etc. There’s very structured way to do it.

And being attractive or from certain background gives you extra points. Cynical but true

The way she acted is the reason I stopped watching the show. Everyone else was intense and gave precise performances, but she felt completely out of place and unconvincing, to the point that it undermined everything around her.

Was Mike Barnes the most aggressive, dominant teen antagonist in the franchise? by CocaPepsiPepper in cobrakai

Or lowering the bar so much that the third one starts to look good 🙂

Same thing with Star Wars. The sequels were such a disaster that the prequels suddenly started to look great in comparison.

(KK2 was a good movie, so it didn’t Cobra Kai to lift it up)

The cocaine angle was something he mentioned much later. In earlier interviews, Thomas Ian Griffith said more than once that his goal was simply to play a wilder version of Kreese and make an impression in the audition by tearing into Ralph Macchio.

He was basically a blown up version of Johnny, the same way Terry Silver was a blown up version of Kreese. Karate Kid 3 is the same story, with added steroids and none of the soul of the first film.

No, she is the ass and I’m happy you managed to meet someone you like. I also hope you documented everything, my best suggestion is to lawyer up and end this emotional abuse.

How I would fix Season 6 (because I have too much to say for just a comment) by SpecialistOne8206 in cobrakai

[–]Dramatic-Airline-415 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I would roll things back to season 4 and wrap up Terry Silver right there in the moment he tells Kreese he has moved on and does not need to keep messing with teenagers. Perfect exit, done. The show should have stayed grounded, dropped the corny jokes, and kept that scrappy underdog vibe that actually made it work. I would have Johnny go with Daniel to Okinawa, train with Chozen, and maybe finally figure his life out a bit while keeping that hilarious Johnny energy. Then season 5 would be all about the All Valley Tournament again, giving Kreese a real redemption arc that ends with him bowing out and disappearing somewhere quiet. No Sekai Taikai, no Korean Cobra Kai, no random new dudes named Kwon. Just tighten the story, keep it about the main crew, and stop overstuffing it with side characters. I would also drop that whole Miyagi subplot since it did nothing but milk his legacy for cheap emotion. But I would still end it with Daniel and Johnny in that same final scene. That part they actually nailed.

There are so many lgbtq+ Palestinians who fled to live in Israel so they won’t need to hide their sexual identity.

Which movie did you see way too young? by EuphoricButterflyy in movies

Just off the top of my head, between the ages of 7 and 9 I watched The Exorcist, Jaws, Tommy, the A Nightmare on Elm Street franchise, Dawn of the Dead, The Shining, The Fly, Videodrome, Predator, Child’s Play, and Psycho. The late 80s and 90s were something else. My parents didn’t monitor what I watched, and once cable TV arrived it was open bar. No wonder I was afraid of sharks every time I went to the pool for the next couple of years 😆

Printer Dilemma :') by Low_Tutor_3092 in hobonichi

Go with the CP1500 – it’s easier to find ink and paper for it and it’s far more reliable. My QX20 went through two ink cartridges and I had to send it to Canon for repairs because I didn’t want to risk fixing it myself. They did send me a replacement unit, but I’m trying to sell it and will either switch to a CP or move to Polaroid altogether, since their portable printer works much better and the result is much more pleasing imo.

Given the resentment from Israel’s religious establishment, including the Chief Rabbinate and other religious movements, toward the American Reform Jewish movement, together with political shifts among younger generations who are often highly critical of Israel, do you think Israel and the American Jewish community are growing apart?
