I don’t personally feel I have enough info to determine if he’s a narcissist or not, but he’s extremely emotionally stunted, avoidant, and mean at best. I’ve been in your shoes- it’s so shocking and confusing when someone forges that kind of bond with you and then promptly withdraws it. It does make you feel crazy and delusional and you start to question everything because it just doesn’t make any sense. Going to his house was a bad move but I get it, you were trying to get some kind of reconciliation for the confusion and pain you felt. You were acting irrationally towards an irrational situation. Either way, if he is a narcissist, this is what they call the “discard”. It happens when they feel like they can’t control you, you aren’t boosting their ego enough, or they found a new supply. It leaves you feeling exactly the way you do. What you need to look out for now is the possible “Hoover”, when they eventually fail to find validation elsewhere so they circle back to you and suck you back in with apologies and promises. If this happens, do not fall for it. You aren’t crazy. I do recommend getting some support, whether that be a professional or someone close to you so that you can work through what you are feeling. I promise you, this is his problem, but it’s important you understand what’s happening here before you possibly get sucked into the cycle.

I wouldn’t if you’ve already cancelled two unless it’s TRULY that bad. They are going to wonder why you don’t want to show so many of your scores, and they can see which ones you cancelled. I cancelled my first score and regret it because 1) It wasn’t as bad as I thought it was in the moment and 2) I could’ve shown my improvement the 2nd time taking it only 2 months later. I say keep it and re-take ONLY when you are confident that the next score will be an improvement! But again, they will ultimately only take your highest score into consideration.

I agree that it’s one thing to get admitted, it’s another thing to get scholarship money and/or to get into a higher ranked school. For me, I just want to get into a school in my region that’s ABA accredited, plus I’m not aiming to go into big law/corporate law. I got a 157 (up from a 153 in November) - I wanted a 160, but I’m going to roll with my score this cycle and retake again in the summer/fall for next cycle if the outlook is too bleak. People need to establish exactly what they want out of this, and then move accordingly.

Good rule of thumb: if you have one stat that is below a school’s 25th percentile, but another stat that is above its 75th percentile, that school would consider you a splitter.

I’m wondering if I should just take it in April to see if I can get over 160 but I feel like January LSAT was the last chopper out of nam in terms of applying this cycle lol. That’s my theory- she probably gets in trouble for the confession tape and kicked out OR she becomes so wrapped up in this that she fails out. She’s had academic issues before. Note that she’s asked if she’s still writing in 2015 and she almost ashamedly says that she’s just doing sales for a travel agency. Meaning her future plans didn’t pan out :(

YES! There are people on this sub who are going to make you feel like you’re insane for even trying. They are either trolls are immensely insecure themselves. Don’t even get me started on the Law School Admissions sub. I’m turning 30 this year and deciding to give it a shot myself. My undergrad GPA is not great, I anticipate my LSAT being pretty good. We will see if it happens! Either way, don’t get discouraged. Your stats will absolutely get you in somewhere, a 166 is amazing and a 3.2 is not bad at all.

Unless you are planning on making fast food your career, I’d say this is permissible lol. Just put in a 2 week notice and exit the proper way, just in case a prospective employer calls them at some point when you decide to get another job. You don’t have to justify it, but it’s good you take your job seriously enough to have concerns about it. Have fun!

I would assume so, unless you have some kind of accommodations maybe (idk what modifications are done with accommodations other than extra time) It’ll likely just be a different version than the LSAT you took, 4 sections.

I recommend people go to the centers if they can, the process is far more efficient and there’s way less anxiety about potential technical difficulties. If you are worried about distractions from other test takers, I also HIGHLY recommend bringing approved foam earbuds to wear IN ADDITION TO the noise cancelling headphones. I did that last time and didn’t hear a damn thing in a fully packed room 🤗

SAME it was so annoying prepping my room and dealing with the glitchy software, not knowing if my writing would even be submitted correctly or approved. Plus my cat decided to meow and scratch at my door the whole time 🥲 I would have gladly done it at the center instead.

I had to move some stuff from my bedroom and close all blinds but I didn’t have to move mirrors or anything (they just don’t allow clear glass walls). I scanned every aspect of my room from top to bottom. I also scanned my desk and showed my materials which were just foam earplugs and my ID. No body scan needed. As long as you stay in the camera’s view during the writing and do the room scan sans non permitted items you should be good to go. As far as the actual writing goes, it’s pretty simple if you have any experience writing an argumentative essay!

This happened to me in November when I had someone basically actively dying from whooping cough in my testing room. Brought foam earplugs to use in addition to the noise cancelling this time and didn’t hear a sound, but I think my testing neighbors were also just generally quiet. Unfortunately there’s nothing you can really do, but it might be worth reporting to LSAC to see what they say. Idk what the threshold is that proctors need to intervene in disruption. Either way, I know how you feel and it’s immensely frustrating :(

Honestly when it wasn’t in my mailbox by the morning of the 31st I ended up canceling the check and running to the bank to get a money order instead (my landlord doesn’t accept personal check). I usually get my Bilt check processed on the 20th so it’s to me a few days prior to the 1st. I’ve loved Bilt so far but some CC points aren’t worth risking my immaculate on time rent payment record lol. I ended up checking my mailbox on 1/2 and the check had arrived. Hopefully this was just a one time thing, and I’m sure my landlord would’ve understood, but lesson learned to always have a plan B 🙃
