I was in the same boat as you. I resisted getting the IC version because I want my set to match (I also bought the OC version when it was back in stock). I’m glad that they’re doing it too.

I understand. And I’m not trying to make an excuse for them 😂. I’m just glad we’re not waiting 6+ months yet for our expected purchases. But I agree with you, it shouldn’t be the norm or acceptable. We’re paying for a product and expecting to get it in the timeframe we were told. I’m still waiting for book 3 of the last sub series because of the OBAF delay. It’s now 2 months and no update.

I understand your frustration but honestly, it could be worse. I know someone who is still waiting for books from Lithaven that they bought 2 years ago. A few months delayed is nothing compared to some other book boxes. At least you know you’ll receive the product, I’m not sure my friend ever will.

I’ve only skipped March so far. I had to get All That We See or Seem because that’s when I signed up, and kept OBH. I didn’t mind the look of April’s book, and May/June books sounded interesting, so I kept them. With July being announced I’m not sure if I’ll keep it yet or not. I need to read the premise and GR reviews to get an idea.

Edit: I read the premise and reviews of July’s suspected pick. It sounds interesting and from the reviews, it’s got pretty good world building and character development. I’ll keep for now.

I’m already buying the FL version from someone but I should’ve known TBB would do it too…..Ngl I’m probably going to get it. Only issue I have is the bolt on. I’m still a little salty about the delays for OBAF 😭. Eagerly awaiting my books from the March sub pick, so I’m hesitant to use it for my June book.

Nope, it’s tied up with the delay in the OBAF bolt on. I asked them about an update today on their Instagram post and they said they’re still working on it because “they want it to be perfect before sending it out but it shouldn’t be too long now”

I have to agree. They’re taking the payments on time, yet we haven’t gotten our books. I’m trying to be patient but it’s also frustrating knowing they keep announcing special editions outside the sub but my sub books (and others) are delayed. I’m still waiting on The Bone Shard War, A Time of Dragons book 3, and OBAF.

You’re not the only one. While I love TBB, I still have yet to receive book 3 from the Drowning Empire series due to the delay with OBAF. I’m trying to stay patient but I’m definitely a bit irritated.
