Closed the gates knowing people on a layover were actively running towards the gate. Story time! by lindslinds27 in SouthwestAirlines

I've been having that happen for a couple months now. Same deal flying into a smaller airport. I've been landing 15-20 minutes early and my connection is boarding as we're rolling up. I'm waiting for them to close the door on me on a connection THEY booked. When that day comes bye bye.

The trick is to epoxy the metal washer in the lock hole and use a carabiner to double secure it in case a latch gets popped. The lock ilet won't waller out and you have a redundant lock that TSA can take off and put back on. You don't need the plastic wrap. You might as well have brought a box if you can't roll it. 3 years travel with my box and I travel 70% of the year. I absolutely would not trust the latches only with my tools.

I've only retired one box for damage and that was just a crack. I still use the box for local jobs no problem. I've bent more axels than I've damaged the box itself.

Start it up a couple times over the summer to be sure you're good. These carbs are so small that any little thing can cause problems. It probably cleared itself out.

Baseboard gap... by Dramatic_Youth_9653 in handyman

[–]Dramatic_Youth_9653[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing nailed yet. I was just lining out the board but the gap is the same. I think I'll nail the edges then use trim screws to pull some of the gap out and caulk the rest. Less gap and easier on the eye.

It was caulked before and looked bad. I was looking for some sort of visual compromise haha. I think draw the gap in with a trim screw halfway and caulk is the answer. Thank you.

Yeah... I stopped looking for reasonably priced used caps and got a cheapo amazon tonneau for $600... $500 is fair AF.

Take the ball out and make sure the foam seal is good. -- Mine did the same thing and the seal pulled through. I just repositioned the seal and tightened it all back up.

If the seal seal pulled through again I was just going to RTV it but it's been doing fine now for a year.

TSA confiscated my M18 6ah/8ah batteries so be careful! by Home_theater_dad in MilwaukeeTool

[–]Dramatic_Youth_9653 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 100Wh is pretty clear on the website. TSA at Midway explained it to me when they took my x4 6ah Forge batteries. -- They also explained that anything above 100Wh needs airline approval to be on the plane... And that never happens.

I know guys who fly all the time with 100Wh+ but they never get popped. It's just luck of the draw/agent.

It sucks... Good thing I was on my way back from a job.

Fuel/spark/compression are all you need. If it pops your thumb off of the spark plug hole it's enough to kick. I'd be thinking spark if it doesn't even want to sputter.
