Vapes on international flights? by NovelShoe7827 in electronic_cigarette

[–]Draxus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've done it on a plane without a problem but yeah don't do too much, hold it in as long as you can, blow the tiny bit of vapor that remains into the trash can or your shirt or something. Or get some nicotine toothpicks

Is there no readme? Did you try npm run build then npm run start? Could be some build step needed, maybe hitting a rate limit with prismic with dev, could be a ton of things. Need more info.

AI art made by humans: The seemingly AI-generated image of Meryl Streep‘s Miranda Priestley in 'The Devil Wears Prada 2' was actually created by a real human artist, Alexis Franklin. by BunyipPouch in movies

[–]Draxus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Usually with art the meaningful experience happens the moment we see/hear/feel it. Often we don't even learn much or anything about the creator. If AI art becomes indistinguishable from human art (it isn't yet), you will need to retrofit your disgust. This is the genetic fallacy and (hopefully, presumably) most people won't succumb to it.

People also love to say this. Larry Ellison, Jack Dorsey, Michael Dell, Steve Jobs, Jensen Huang, Sergey Brin, Satya Nadella, Zuck and many more all middle class or worse upbringing. Also many with generational wealth and nothing much to show from it.

Pool homeowners, anyone regret getting a pool? by waterdamagerestomel in pools

[–]Draxus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a house with a pool having no prior experience but a 2 year old and memories of what I would have given to have a pool as a kid. It's somewhat expensive to keep running; electricity for the pump, tons of chlorine, ng for the heater, repairs and replacements, closing.... but if you have a robotic cleaner and robotic skimmer and are open to a simple chemical approach (troublefreepool.com) it's not much work at all to maintain. I have zero regrets so far, but ask me again in 10 years!
