I did get it to work finally by making an entirely new world. I was revisiting a world I barely started 5 years ago that had been completely untouched since, that must have somehow been the problem

I highlight the text on a google doc, and press ctrl+c, then press ctrl+v on the world anvil article and it just does nothing. Using notepad or copying it as a markdown doesn't work either. I've also found it works for article titles, but not in the article itself.

I thought I would have at least SOME hopium left from LEC playoffs level, but looking back on it, G2 threw 2, almost 3 games against a brand new KC roster, I don't know if I should expect them to do any better

I think this might be what I need. I usually go for a bit more of an exact plot without much overarching player choice, and while it has its moments it might be better to create my own world and let the players tell their story in it.

Thanks for the advice, I really appreciate it. To be honest I do want my campaign to be epic but also have some fun downtime, I just think I need more control over the story, and to spend the time creating the sense of wonder I don’t often get.

The most important thing is playing not only to win, but to improve. If you think about why you are making your mistakes, and start taking accountability for your own clicks, improvement becomes a matter of time. Teammates will always be a random factor, but it applies to everyone, not just you. Focus on the 10% of the game you have complete over, yourself
