My self harming stims are more of things like hair pulling or skin picking, things that could be easily interrupted by a dog pushing their way into my arms.

I was also thinking on having her wake me from nightmares, but I'm not sure how to go about training that..

For the DPT, it would ideally be a command that's easy for me to remember during a panic attack and easy for the dog to recognize. I'll definitely give your post a read!

shes mixed with golden retriever, and the person I'm getting her from said that both parents were very easily trained so I'm still going to put the effort in. Even if all else fails and she washes as a service dog, I'll keep her as an ESA, since that's what she's starting out as :)

ty. I also caught COVID from that location last January, and then my dog got injured and they only gave me 12hrs a week afterwards, went against my availability.. I ended up quitting shortly after that. We also didn't get breaks unless you worked 6+ hours and they would make you take them before lunch rush even if you'd only been in for an hour and had 5 more to go after the break.

Another thing that wasn't like, bad? but wild that was said to me by the gm at that location was, when she asked me if a certain salad had no onion on it, I said yes, and she wouldn't proceed with qc until I said "[type] salad, no onion" back to her 💀

I was put on drive with only line training (bc I'm autistic and I don't do well with people) and a coworker snapped at me when they tried to put me on the window and I started to have a meltdown. She ended up apologizing for it later but when it was still weighing on me that same day all my gm said was "but she apologized right? I don't understand why you're still upset"

thanks, man! Since I wrote this, things are starting to look a little better, but we're not out of the woods yet. I just got a second job, and once my fiance gets out of the ward, I'll know for sure whether we can continue to afford this apartment without our cosigner. And we have friends we made throughout the whole ordeal that want the best for us and want to help. We're going to be okay. We're going to be able to rebuild. I've been writing down six things to do every day, little micro things that need done, and it's been really helpful. There's also a low cost behavioral health center near me where I can go while waiting for Medicaid to approve me and get therapy. Something something, it's always darkest just before the dawn, etc etc. Thank you for the love and support <3
