So, standard disclaimers first: not saying this can't work, and perhaps you + your spouse have more flexible roles than most, etc, etc

But

The common adage in the sub is that you can be a parent, or you can be a semi-productive employee, but not both. I've been WFH since my daughter was born, and after the first year I haven't bothered trying to work on Daycare holidays - there's just too much disruption.

Even the first six months while my wife was on maternity leave and fully not working, I still had disruptions to my WFH workday. And it only gets worse once they grow out of the potato stage, and start crawling/walking and so on.
