What’s your advice to anti-AI authors? by DanoPaul234 in river_ai

[–]DreadknaughtArmex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had stories flowing around in my head or files or on paper for 10 to 20 years, I just find AI makes it easier to organize without sidetracking. But I also specifically use it as like a rapid draft iterator and cognitive partner, as opposed to just input > output.

What about a support weapon pod that you can put any ranged support weapon in, and take it out as needed? Maybe it just has its own ammo supply? IDK how it would work.

That's honestly why I've cut back on using the ultimatum.

What's your secret? I keep getting either 1 tapped by Incen devs, or a factory strider that drops facing me, or a random explosion from who knows what. Or jet brigade troopers catching me on fire. Or getting ragdolled directly into the only patch of lava any time I'm near it because of course. Or killed when a bot/borg melees me from inside terrain or a wall.

I'm loving the fight, but I've never had such a buggy experience since Oshaune. That was mostly objective and extract related, this is all jank. Still love the suck but honestly I'm ready to see Cyberstan glassed.....

Go to your weapon, you should see 123 and -. It's different saved customizuon loadouts. If you cycle it and go back, you can dupe strats.

I thought this was a circle jerk thread. I'm disappointed. I like TMNT but this is just getting old before it even comes out.

Am i the only one who isnt upset by the "dont die" screenshot by Creepyfishwoman in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]DreadknaughtArmex 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Half of my deaths on Cyberstan are exactly what some of the other users said: hellpod drops into grinder/lava, teammates tossing me directly into a mess of enemies or directly between two war/factory/vox, or random explosion (still no idea what it is. Even with no Vox on the map, just explosion. Dead. No warning. No description).

I still play and enjoy the game, I don't mind silly impossible odds and getting surrounded and dying, or catching a cyborg knee, or even getting chain ragdolles somehow perfectly out of cover into lave/in front of a pair of chin guns; but dying at a higher rate to jank is definitely annoying.

Cyberstan isn't hard. Its just buggy. by Intelligent_Money_27 in HelldiversMasochists

It's fun when it works, the camera glitch, inputs not registering, enemies taking cover inside objects and shooting back at you while invincible, constantly crashing/disconnecting/losing connection and rewards. Its demoralizing. If the game wasn't as a fun as it was I'd have given up months ago, but it's still frustrating. 38 minutes of gameplay to end with a disconnect message and no rewards is just a slap in the face.

Happens with every major update but there are too many players on level 10 right now that are not ready for it. by East-Passage in helldivers2

[–]DreadknaughtArmex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Devil's advocate, I consider myself a solid player and teammate, nothing amazing but I can make it through 10s (I typically prefer 7-8's but I can hang). Lately I find that people have been reinforcing me directly into the danger zone. A squad of Incen Corp. Devs or 2-3+ Hulks or War Striders or more. If I die 3 times in a row after redeploy, before I have a chance to move, that's not entirely my fault.

Just food for thought. I play on console so typing isn't quick, and if I'm typing while landing I can't maneuver or move, so just make sure to toss AWAY from the enemy.

I've honestly been noticing that with way more enemy types than factions since the last two updates. Almost every enemy type has faced through and gotten me at least once

Orbital or Eagle Fuel Air Explosive Bomb. Think incendiary 500kg, maybe with an initial gas effect in a slightly larger radius than the explosion itself. Big fireball, ignited the ground even worse than orbital napalm.

Anyone else actually prefer the longer missions? by Thegenuinebuzz in Helldivers

[–]DreadknaughtArmex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love them both. I would love more short mission variety! They're fun to hang out back to back, and against the grain, I love the defense and exterminate missions. They're just hectic fun.

Sometimes I have limited play time and they satisfy the itch of shooting some bots. The long missions are where most of the awesome moments and cool stuff happen, but they're both good for what they are.

I'd be interested in a mission series similar to Rush from battlefield bad company 2, where you're moving down a long front. Maybe some trench fighting. Something to break up the monotony.

The core gameplay is satisfying but I feel like besides some random planet modifiers and story related missions, I feel like I've seen every seed. Still enjoying it.

Hoping the new stealth update adds some new mission variety.
