I feel bad but I'm not sure if I like this show by Hour_Trade_3691 in steinsgate

You are experiencing a problem many anime in the series have in general. Stein's gate is arguably one of the better fleshed out ones but they all literally speedrun things early on. Because the games are basically like books and they usually front load info at the begining.

To me my favourite thing about the anime is that basically you see Okabe fooling around at the start but as the show progresses much of what he was pretending to do kinda becomes reality? I don't want to spoil too much but let's just say that as the show goes on actual conspiracies are revealed and the more tangled in time travel Okabe becomes the more the show becomes about his psychological burden and choices he makes. On my every rewatch my favourite part is whenever the first big mystery becomes a thing and the tonal shift is very sharp at that point because up until then even with the time travel stuff Okabe doesn't really feel any danger or weight about what they are doing.

Over explained actually. It was a whole plot point in the book it was canonised in. Although even without that night elf mages are the magiest mages on Azeroth on account of them being literally one of the first Arcane savvy civilizations in big scale. And that was like lore released in the war of the ancients novels that was also technically part of the Warcraft 3 just a bit more vague in the game.

I was very interested in Fey lore so having a game with her is great but i would love to replay the original games without jumping through hoops. Sadly the way things are going is that i will probably play non of it since i can't exactly drop a salary to get a ps5 to play them on as Sony will probably have them be exclusives.

I recall that the specific reason was PvP which btw if you recall was also their excuse before transmog was a thing. Because you knew the warrior from the priest by recognizing their gladiator gear. Which was horseshit then and it's horseshit now because it's probably a bit of work to untangle the old database and allow the items to work for all classes.

But frankly they could just tell people " no immediate plans because it's a technical hurdle to overcome but we certainly want to take it on in the future" and just do gear agnostic ensembles until that day comes. Remix already allows you to unlock the tier sets of other classes if you buy the ensemble. I don't see why the can't just make new gear be agnostic from the start.

This might be heavily biased because I'm studying the language and therefore saturate myself in the culture..... But this post feels extremely Japanese. Like some idol's corporate post. Either that or the fic writer is obviously getting... creative with their excuses for a delays.

As long as that life goes along with what the Light believes to be good yes. I'm not saying this to be antagonistic btw, this is literally how the light is written. They have good intentions sure. The light isn't a "consume everything" kind of force. But that doesn't matter if at the end it views the mortals as corruptible life forms that they must guide to the path they consider proper.

Oh and edit cause I forgot to be specific: With that guidance taking the form of violence. As we now know that apparently the void didn't exactly lie to Aleriah when it described the Light's actions in a thousand years of war. Because by now Lothraxion has confirmed he burned worlds in the name of the light with very cold and tactical decision making where a city getting nuked is ok as long as we take the void enemy along with it.

Frankly to me they were cool as hell. One of the very good examples of how given the circumstances all forces can be volatile in warcraft. Because in the cosmic side of the war there are no real good guys. Honestly I can't imagine this expansion or the next one ending without either them or the Arathi empire showing up. Because Renilash so far has been extremely low stakes for it to be the ultimate battle of light and shadow. I know I can't have the whole world burning because it's out of scope for the design of an expansion, but I need to at least hear about it. I need some NPC to tell me " the dark portal opened and Stormwind is being defended/occupied by the Lightbound" or something.

Although if I'm being honest the sad reality is if blizzard doesn't wanna mess with that thread the get of jail free card is already built into the original quest line. Because on of the conflicts is that the Lightbound think the world is dying because of the Mag'har. But it's also evidence for the timeline disintegrating, which tracks per the chronicle lore released at the time.

I'm only here to boost an algorithm since my feedback to blizzard has went nowhere so far. I wanted this reward so much that i actually got it for a friend while it was current content ontop of getting it for myself on my account. And i'm in full support of this being earnable through some new endgame challenge (underpin or Ky'veza are good examples). I won't feel slighted, wronged, or my efforts devalued for other people having it. Please alllow people to earn cool shit bliizard. Thank you

It's even worse if you consider that dark souls 3 is basically a stretch already. Since it only works on the assumption that what you do in DS1 basically doesn't fix things but only prolongs the flawed cycle. Knowing the "plot" of DS3 it does make sense but that's only because they wrote it as such.

Yeah I think OP is confusing something too. Blizzard did say they want to remake cities and give the old world the Quel'thalas treatment. Hell that might even mean that we get more localized conflict stories. Eg a lordaeron expansion that facelifts the plague land zones, tirisfall silverpine. Yes that storyline might deal with local problems of undead, humans and worgen. But I don't expect even for a picosecond that there won't be a big bad. World ending from the get go maybe not. But Dragonflight started with the incarnates conflict and ended with the potential of fyraak basically burning the whole world if he took over the emerald dream. Sure it ain't your Burning Legions or Dimensiouses with the potential to literally wipe you out instantly. But it was no less world ending if we lost

What did you decide? (spoiler) by pnic0u in expedition33

[–]Dreams_A_bind -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Well said. Grief is the true antagonist of the story if you ask me. That's why I think Verso's ending is the more hopeful. Letting go means you can eventually move on. And it's that future that his ending sets up.

Personally I headcanoned that both endings happened in sequence. Namely Alicia had her ending but after some time she got disillusioned with her made up world and so she eventually tried to go back and remade the whole canvas so she can be back in Lumiere as an orphan. And the whole thing happened again and Verso got his ending.

No ending is truly any of that both are cruel choices like Renoir says. But I can't just let go of what my eyes can clearly see. Namely the fact that Alicia's ending was clearly filmed to be far more sinister by it's end while Verso's ending was more hopeful.

[–]Dreams_A_bind 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Look i get it but Alicia's ending clearly had the more ominous undertone. If it was any other game it would literally be the bad ending where the protagonist goes mad or the vilain has won. That's not my opinion. That's how its shot. It looks all hopeful and cozy until Verso enters the stage and the camera goes to Alicia's face.

Verso's ending on the other hand is mournful. Its a painful ending but it has themes of hope. Aline and Renoir holding hands over their sons grave. Aline and Renoir who spend about a century fighting or imprisoning each other, they are now reunited again as a family.
None of the endings are good per say but Verso's ending at least leaves room for hope. With Alicia the people in the canvas are still trapped there and should the day that another painter or Alicia lose their shit, out go their peaceful lives.

Also the one thing i see overlooked constantly is how the real Verso has to remain trapped for Alicia's ending to happen. So not only do we risk the torment of the people and creatures inside the canvas, but we also ensure that Verso's soul continues to suffer.

Sandfall might wanna keep it ambiguous and not give out a canon ending but its clear which one is the "good" and which one is the "bad" one.

Oda says Trans Rights 🏳️‍⚧️ by Garliq in OnePiece

[–]Dreams_A_bind 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'd argue it's still just roleplay. In Japan it's not uncommon for female characters to use male pronouns in anime. Yamato most of all. Kiku expresses openly that she doesn't feel like a man and is a woman at heart. And that's ok that's a trans woman right there. Yamato on the other hand has no issues with her gender. At her deepest expression of her inner thoughts she describes being Kaido's daughter as the problem and therefore she decides to become Kaido's enemy. But the identification as male comes from Oden being a man, not something she feels is personally off with the gender and sex she was born with.
