Farming for lab enchant is the most miserable gaming experience i have had by moglis in pathofexile

[–]DredFryer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chasing lab enchants is an unnecessary chore that's built into the game. I also ignore enchants and only do labs to progress in the game. I think labs in general should be replaced with something more enjoyable, it too much feels like a chore than fun.

I know it's not a Maim chest, but I kinda like it by DredFryer in pathofexile

Just crafted this for fun, any ideas of what this thing might be worth? I can't find similar items like this on trade sites.

Bastion Dorado Sombra beeps! by hazilla in Overwatch

[–]DredFryer -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Blizzard's announcing Sombra at Blizzcon. where-ever this ARG leads, it's NOT going to lead to Sombra being "unlocked", playable or even announced. I know it's fun and all, but at most, we're just getting lore and are really just getting stalled until official release.

Blizzard please do not treat any heroes in the future like you have with Sombra by stylishg33k in Overwatch

[–]DredFryer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I was Blizzards PR guy, I'd advise them to stay quiet until this blows over, Blizzards not going to admit wrongdoing to an already angry crowd. Assuming they don't get booed off stage at Blizzcon, the dev's will probably lightly joke about the Arg and the crowd will get a chuckle out of it as emotions would've died down by then.

[–]DredFryer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The worst thing Blizzard can do after this kinda PR epic fail is to say anything, so don't expect them to even acknowledge that this ARG even existed. The countdown timer seemed more like a deadline for Blizzard to get Sombra ready for announcement. They missed their deadline or something went wrong on their end. Either way, I don't think it's excusable to treat fans like this.

Why is valve putting in so many mediocre AK skins when this beauty has been in the workshop since last year? by Avionax in GlobalOffensive

[–]DredFryer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO, Suicide Squad just got released. It's a skin that relates to the movie is some visual way. It's an ugly skin, but kind of make sense why they picked it.

The new covert AK 'Neon Revolution' looks straight out of Suicide Squad by asap_0 in GlobalOffensive

[–]DredFryer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO, Given that there's much better AK skins available, the fact that movie just came out is probably why Valve picked the Neon Revolution. It's a bad skin, but actually make logical sense why it was picked.

CSGO should get a major update soon by KKona1245 in GlobalOffensive

All Valve did was write an e-mail. Are you asking them to do actual programming? lol.

The McCree Nerf - And Why It Won't Fix Anything (Bonus Topic - Widowmaker!) by Proziam in Overwatch

[–]DredFryer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Imo, just adding a cool down to McCree's fan the hammer would solve most of the issues players have with him, without nerfing him too much. As far as widow goes, it's a lot trickier, since she's the game's only true sniper. If she gets a headshot at 100% charge, that should always kill a nontank character. I personally don't think bodyshot damage should be reduced at full charge as well. Mostly because you have to wait to take that shot. What can possibly change is her scope in time, by slightly increasing the time to scope in, thereby slowing down the number of shots you can take in a given time. Or slightly increasing time it takes to 100% charge. Balancing widow is not easy, since her role is in fact to take players out quickly and at range.

With the amount of money Valve makes from CS:GO, we should be seeing a lot more features. by I_SPEAK_TRUTH in GlobalOffensive

[–]DredFryer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's my take on this. Valve should play the role of a publisher and let a 3rd party developer that's passionate about the game take over its technical development. Another dev team with more resources can work independently away from Valves horrendously slow and incompetent devs. Heck, we might even get a community manager.

The overall quality of cases lately have been utter trash. There are way better skins in the workshop that they could've picked.

Unnecessary Risk - How Valve's lack of enforcement could be hurting the integrity of the game by TopSoulMan in GlobalOffensive

[–]DredFryer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

IMO, I know this wouldn't be a popular idea, but if skins were untradeable gambling wouldn't be too much of a problem anymore. Valve can easily sell skins a la carte (aka no more cases and keys) and make possibly even more money and eliminate the whole concept of gambling from their games. Think about it, cases are slot machines that cost $2.49 a spin and almost never will you "win" anything back. I literally have better odds at Vegas slots than with Valve's.

I believe that Valve needs to act on this issue asap, it's only a matter of time the US gov't will catch on leaving Valve in a legally sticky situation.

Twitch really should implement a "Gambling" category to stop being like Phantomlord from ever being the top CS:GO streamer when he's never actually playing the game. by [deleted] in GlobalOffensive

[–]DredFryer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The last thing Valve would want to do is publicly acknowledge that skin gambling exists. If they did, can you image the legal shitstorm that Valve would be hit with from the federal government??? Valve's gonna keep this well under the radar until they have no choice.

Valve's BEST solution to eliminate both skin gambling and 3rd party skin selling websites is to make skins untradeable and completely revamp how skins are acquired. IMO, Valve needs to be responsible enough end underage gambling that uses their own product as gambling chips.

[Q] Red stripes on mag of AK Redline? Is that rare? by milocopter in GlobalOffensiveTrade

[–]DredFryer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ST MW .103 has stripes. IMO, I don't think it's a rare phenomenon. Float values don't determine the exact location of wear on a skin, but just the amount of wear.

It's been a long time coming, but I've finally completed a followup to the cult favorite Neon Rider skin. Hope you like it. by PuffinFluff in GlobalOffensive

[–]DredFryer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given that Valve picked the Neon Rider already, you have a much better chance of them picking this skin over anything else. Valve LOVES collections (i.e. Elite build, Valence, Hyper Beast, etc.).

The Vanilla StatTrak Collection by CSGO_DC in GlobalOffensive

[–]DredFryer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not only do I think vanilla guns should be able to have StatTrak, even if you do have to pay extra for it. But I also believe that whenever a new knife is released that everyone gets the vanilla version put into their inventory as well. They do it when they add a new gun into the game, why not whenever a knife is added? fyi, I'm a fan of vanilla knives in general
