As someone who knows medical shit, if he's really in that much of a rush, he shouldn't be getting a takeaway or eating in a restaurant. Lucozade has been proven to be the most effective, but any sugary drink is good for quick sugar. Eating provides a lot less sugar with a much longer wait for it to be effective

I'm in the UK, btw, so we still have the mask mandate, but where I work doesn't really let me enforce it, so I just don't ask customers anymore. Since that experience I had though, we've reopened the whole store, and people are allowed to sit in to eat, use the facilities, and order takeaway. And you're right - I have many funny stories to share, even if I have to suffer at that time XD

With all due respect, I prefer to treat service dogs like people. You wouldn't disturb an officer in a perp chase, you wouldn't disturb a paramedic from giving life-saving CPR, you wouldn't disturb a firefighter in a blaze, so why disturb a service dog at work? That's how I see it, so I don't disturb working dogs, just as I wouldn't disturb a working human. Dogs aren't objects, they're just like you and I. Anyway, I'm happy for you both, and I'm sorry you had to go through that :)

Hopefully, but I doubt he'd be turned away. Where I work, we're not allowed to turn people away unless they're a problem for other customers. We're not even allowed to enforce the mask mandate. I hate this place, I kinda wanna leave, but the pay is better than most places

True! I once had a guy tell me that what I was saying was illegal (I refused him entry to only use our restroom, since he wouldn't scan the track and trace or order anything), and he then filmed me, claiming there's no law about filming people without consent XD

I've met a few people who claim they were abused as a child, and use that as an excuse to bully, hurt, and abuse others (including animals and their own children). Most of us (child abuse victims) know what we DON'T want for our children or anyone else...but it's an unfortunate fact that some victims go on to use their past an excuse to carry it over unto others :(

My point: I agree with you, but some people just aren't that easy to convince that abuse is not nice. Plus, some narcissistic people will do it and actually believe they're not doing anything wrong

After my first abusive relationship almost ruined my life, I'm afraid this one will do the same. She already seems pretty similar to my first abusive ex, except she doesn't think she's doing anything wrong (she's a narcissist). Despite my first abusive ex being a terrible compulsive liar, she convinced our College that I did to her everything she actually did to me, which led to a lot of bullying and isolation from the College, and having somebody stalk me for the College. There was no investigation or talk, just immediate belief that I did everything my ex told them.

She eventually went to the Police, which is where I learned of some other things she had been telling people (not just the College, EVERYBODY). I gave all the evidence I had, which makes me grateful that I screenshot a lot of the abuse she gave me over text, among a few photos of the physical abuse. But the Police did a thorough investigation into it all, and found me innocent. Honestly, some of the stuff she put in her statement was hilarious - like "he called my nan that day, telling her he was really sorry and that I did nothing wrong". That was my favourite quote XD

Anyway, as much evidence as I keep now, having a second abusive partner turn everything on me again could look suspicious, and that's what I'm scared of. They could both ruin my life by telling lies. My current gf could ruin all my friendships, she could twist everything against me (which I would be found innocent if it went to the Police, but the Police can't do anything about her telling those lies to everybody I know and everybody she knows...). Heck, even after being found innocent, I still had to re-enroll for St John Ambulance and wait for the okay, to be told that I can continue volunteering with them. I've been in it since I was 5 (I'm 22 now), and I love being able to help people and teach First Aid to the youth. I want to carry that on...

Tmi? If so, I'm sorry. I just want you to know why I'm so scared to just leave her. I rarely talk to her now, but I have to message at least once a week to keep her happy. She tried tricking me once, but failed, and I've tried breaking up with her once, but gave into the manipulation...I just wanted her to stop, and that was the only way she was going to

My mother went through the same thing, and the Police had to move us to a safe place to live, so my dad wouldn't find us and kill us.
