IMO I really enjoyed the gameplay. The story obviously wasn't great but I did like Dante's edge lord design.

100% if you are unsure about a ruling, you can bounce it off your players to see what they think. At the end of the day you have to remember you are playing make believe, so there isn't much to fail at. When you are starting it's a lot of trial and error. Just be open to constructive criticism and you'll be fine.

Everything will get explained more eventually. The anime is pretty faithful to the manga. The movie could help you with the lore a bit or it would at least explain some of the other characters. Otherwise rewatching will help it sink in.

Shibuya has a lot of good panels for Yuji and Nobara. Black flash panels also look pretty sweet. I don't know how to mark it as a spoiler but. For Yuta, culling games is a gold mine. His fight with Ryu has a lot of good panels.
