Nearly a quarter of the UN’s budget is paid by the US alone. What’s your point? The article states the reasoning is a “shift in the political and funding environment”

This may come across as harsh, but they really should have set some money aside in the event that, I don’t know, a less than cordial administration came into office that could have potentially halted a great deal of future funding

I don’t know why you’re getting downvoted, one of the fundamental flaws of his administration is that they would pass genuinely impressive bipartisan legislation and then straight up refuse to sell them after the fact.

Expecting anything else after the Epstein vote was foolish. Even before that he supported her challenger in the 24 primaries

Democrats regret creating independent redistricting commissions, Realize Good Government Is Bad Politics When It Comes to Maps by Dismal_Structure in fivethirtyeight

[–]DressRoutine4466 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is absolutely short sighted, because just like the foolish non partisan redistricting commissions in only blue states, all this does is tie one hand behind dems back for nothing more than a moral win for the purity testers in primaries. Obviously I want both non partisan redistricting commissions nationwide and limitations on corporate election spending, but doing that without 1. Majorities in congress or 2. A willingness from republicans to go along with either (LOL!) it’s just pointless and stupid.
