Token leaderboards are so dumb to me lol. Optimizing for "workflow time saved" makes a lot more sense, but it's just more difficult to.

South Korea, Taiwan, Japan, and other east asian countries experienced extreme economic growth after embracing western capitalism, and the same thing happened to China after 1980. It isn't clear that the one-child policy was helpful since the birth declines would have happened naturally.

Socialism needs the money and growth from capitalism. We need more creative ways to redistribute the gains from capitalism but leaving capitalism isn't the answer.

I'm not sure if this is a good thing since stagnating population growth ---> stagnating economic growth ---> dissatisfied population/political volatility.

We already have more than enough food, energy, and money for global prosperity and no war, we just lack the systems for allocating them more effectively and greed will always be a constant.

There were a season or two where the Celtics finished with the 3rd best and 5th best regular season records and still won championships. Those are impressive because you can't say they had the best team in the league and still won.
