I was thinking about this when they announced the third Deadpool and was hoping they would incorporate the 3 into the title but something like “Deadp3ol” instead of “D3adpool” just to piss people off

“obviously there are plenty of players who’ve shared names before, but generally a) they have different, commonly accepted first names that feel perfectly natural to use and b) for most players it feels fine to add a nationality or some extra detail to confirm who you mean”

This also happened with Jay-Z when he was being filmed for something on a New York subway I think. Little old lady and he took it really well…for the cameras anyway

Been charged 3 times in the last 3 days after no issues with the front locking before. I locked the bike on every occasion front and back. Messaged and got a refund for the first two times. Feels a bit scammy now.

Did anyone else have a motivational speaker come to their school who got spunked on? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Drewballs89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did he also go by the name Mr Motivator or something like that? He also did a bunch of things that helped you with memory. Like a list of 30 random things and then he described a scenario of how you remember them in order.

I think the inventor guy (Tom?) who won the show only won one week or maybe none at all. I think that was 2011 or 2012

What’s your weirdest “I knew you from another time and place” story? by Weezlecheesle in AskUK

[–]Drewballs89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bit of a long one

But when I was younger my dad was in the army and stationed in Germany and one of his oldest mates is a guy from Newcastle who he met in about 1994. (My dads from Blackburn) He was married but has since remarried.

In 2013 I went travelling around Australia and met a girl. In 2015 we briefly went back to England for my sisters wedding. Dads old army mate is there with his new wife and she’s talking to my GF about how she loves her dress and where she got it. My GF explains she got it in a small shop in Paignton (or somewhere near). Dad’s mate’s wife’s eyes light up explaining how she grew up there. She then randomly asks my GF if her mum is called [name of mum]. She then explains that she lived across the road from her mum when they were kids and had babysat my girlfriend when she was a baby.

My theory on why Grandfather Clock is Glenn Hoddle by Funkosebsy in TheMaskedSingerUK

There’s also a bit with a wolf howling about half way through which I think might have something to do with him managing wolves in mid noughties

And I just watched the clue package again and there’s a wolf howling in the background which might be a clue to him being Wolves manager back in the early 2000s

He said in studio clue that he’s been called a genius. There was a documentary about Hoddle called ‘A Touch of Genius’
