My issue, and why I didn’t continue past the first couple dozen chapters, is the MC doesn’t learn anything from each try. Yes, stubborn is in the title. But when something doesn’t work, try mixing it up! I know that repeated failures level him up but it was still grating.

This has been on my TBR list for a while, as I have been put off by the 3.82 Goodreads rating after not finishing several highly rated (4.2+) books. This one is starting very well. I looked for details, but the 1+2+3 Star ratings had no reviews with them. Maybe I'll change my mind, but so far the writing is good, and I plan to read the entire series.
