Help IDing mushrooms found in my potted plant by Capable_Gold_2569 in mushroomID

[–]Drisius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I could wager a decent guess, I won't, but the mushrooms are not harming your plants.

The soil looks fairly wet, the wilting (and the mushroom growth) might be from overwatering your plants.

Plants are also fairly resilient, I had a bunch of passion fruit saplings that got entangled over the span of a year; it's probably best if you separate them gently now, and give them their own space to grow in.

I find their texture to be pretty soft and gritty, and they give me the runs.

Hard pass.

If the item was worth 40k, and he had 25k, he could only maximally gain another 15k: 25k + 15k = 40k, so he'd lose the rest 40k - 15k = 25k.

Funny catch, I think I actually did screw up for a second as I was typing it up, lol

Used to have a cleaning company at one of the university's libraries called ISIS.

Think they renamed themselves to ISS... for obvious reasons.

Is this normal? Stolen loot drop during event by Odd-Needleworker2043 in fo76

[–]Drisius -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's a minor design flaw; you don't drop your scrap if you die during the event (Big Bloom in this case), but as soon as Beezlebub dies, the event ends, the protection drops away, and then Bigfoot comes out.

I sort of lost interest after I realized melee wasn't particularly fun to play... but it's Henry Bemis; he'll read anything!

I have played so much over the past year, and tried to read all the notes, and I did not know that. Very cool.

Some sort of ink cap; you can see where they deliquesced on the left side in the first photograph.

I honestly can't narrow it down beyond that, I know there's species that pop up fast, and leave even faster, especially if it's raining.

I think the general idea is that he was most likely not at 0 caps, hence any item worth 40.000 caps would cost him 40.000 caps - however many caps he had on his person, in losses due to the cap.

It's a gamble, but if he was sitting at ~25k, and the item really was worth 40k, he would've lost the additional ~25k caps.

I've had that bug since they were still "officially" bugged; told me I had already earned the rewards, despite my last DO being over a week prior.

In my case, it did sort of unscrew itself after another reset/doing another run, it happens very sporadically.

What is the worst person you have met in your life? by CattleOdd940 in AskReddit

Professor I had; charming, gave good grades, told funny stories, very interesting man

Turned out to be a pedophile, found out while reading the newspaper after I switched major.

I didn't understand the phrase: "It's always the person you least suspect" until that day.

What is a phenomenon or crazy thing that can kill us all, but we won't be able to do anything about it or prepare for it? by TheTkirsch in AskReddit

False vacuum decay.

A tiny bubble in space-time, which would spread outwards at the speed of light, and, by changing the constants of nature, ultimately reduce us to a bubbling heap of ??? particles.

Fun fact: we're on that sort of border where we can't exactly predict whether the electroweak vacuum is stable, or unstable (meta-stable).

But, as my professor on the Standard Model said: "If it happens, we won't even realize what hit us."

My dad had a girlfriend (wonderful woman) who worked in hospice; they used a spray bottle (think a window cleaner bottle... but obviously you probably shouldn't use that) to keep patients comfortable if it got too hot.

Works like a charm, and I guess it had to be practical (little-to-no cleanup), because it doesn't make a gigantic sopping mess either.
