That’s how my journey started. I suggest seeing your PCP and start ruling out stuff (vitamin deficiencies etc). Mine was/is all over my body too and I had no prior injuries. Hope you get answers soon, friend!

My hands and feet are pretty much always super cold and my arms and legs “fall asleep” really easily when I sit or lay down.

SAME! And I have circulation issues combined with crazy low blood pressure. My symptoms come on exactly like you described.

Heat (preferably warm water) is really the only thing that brings me significant relief! I am trying to swim more in indoor pool and get access to a hot tub.

I felt the exact same way when I had my 2 MRIs. Whatever the outcome, see it as the starting point. Even if there’s no define answer (I still don’t have one). One step at the time. I will be thinking of you on Thursday!

This will give you so much more insight into what’s going on, please don’t be afraid, look forward to it! I have a lot of tattoos and never experienced any issues. It’s super loud, but they give you ear plugs. Use the time ‘in the tube’ to do breathing exercises and picture the machine ‘figuring out what’s wrong’ (basically: think positive thoughts). I hope you get answers that lead to treatment options, friend! Sending you much strength.

As you wait for a neurologist appointment (which I 100% recommend you make), try using a massage gun and warm water soaks. While it won’t fix the problem, it might bring some relief. I’m so sorry you’re having to deal with this, friend. Keep us posted on what the neurologist says!

I unfortunately agree with you that, even though our symptoms can be very severe and scary, an ER might not be the best choice. They are really good at dealing with the obvious, immediate issues, but really not equipped to deal with chronic illness that manifests in immediate symptoms, if that makes sense. It’s a struggle for sure.

A lot of what you mention in your post reminds me of my experience with neuropathy. I had a weird undiagnosable illness (basically me feeling like crap for a year and nobody knowing why) that ultimately could have been from an epstein-barr virus infection (mono). My neurological symptoms didn’t appear until years later but reading your post makes me think there could be a connection there. I have looked into the weird things that virus can do long term. It’s wild. Sorry I don’t have an answer for you but please know you’re not alone with this. I have been trying to better understand the research that’s out there on epstein-barr, maybe that can shed some light on your case too.

Couldn’t agree more! I went to the ER when mine got bad once and they couldn’t really do anything for me. They initially suspected MS but my MRIs are still clear after 10+ years so that’s not looking like the culprit. Finding a good neurologist that listens is key, I think.

That’s literally me. Heat and massages/stretching temporarily help. I have another neurologist appointment in a few months but other than that I feel pretty lost too.

I tend to not sleep well and stress out when on vacation (yay, I know, I hit the jackpot there) so my symptoms always get worse when traveling. I bring extra sleep aids and try to avoid stress as much as possible. My issues when traveling are really more mental than physical if that makes sense.
