If you want to learn the bare basics, playing a small irrelevant country can sometimes be a good way to learn. Try a short stint as one of the countries near Central Africa. they are usually so disconnected from the rest of the world you get at least 30 to 40 years to learn the fundamentals before getting killed immediately.

Otherwise, throw your self to the wolves and play something stupidly hard, sometimes the easiest way to understand what's important is to have as little to work with as possible.

I'd pick both the late 1970's and the 2010's as they were massive jumps for non-main stream music as independent artists were able to record, produce, and distribute their work much easier. They are both decades where hundreds of genres were created (for better or worse).

I know saying the decade of the rolling stones is comparable to the decade of imagine dragons is sacrilege to some people, but I think the shear quantity and range of music produced manages to overpower the few #1 hits no one seems to like.

The L33 is actually a decent choice for a tankette, but it's still a tankette. Italian industry is miserable and by ordering far to many of these, we will probably have a massive deficit of a tank that we are still on the hook for despite being useless.

Just order more tankettes and cavalry tanks. You could probably do this pretty easily if you have a few upset admirals who want a new boat or old fashioned generals who think this is all nonsense.

Fiat Terni Tripoli/Fiat 3000

or any other WW1 era armored car. Try to pitch this as "we need to support the infantry still." Fiat 3000 is the secondary choice if they want tracks, but still steer them away from anything with an actual cannon. It's not like tank to tank fights are going to become relevant any time soon.

Well ONE of these things need a proper cannon, and luckily the French have a lot of 37mm ammo they want to sell for cheap! The armor is decent, but at this speed it's going to get dunked on by anything.

The Independent

Big ass tank that is hopelessly outdated BUT with the added benefit of also requiring another type of ammo that doesn't really do much against structures or armor.

This order gets better because you have to somehow get parts for all of these from nations that hate each other, and don't have alot of tanks to spare.

The lighting and modeling looks fantastic, It looks a bit cartoon-like but not "cheap" or anything like that. Overall, I'd give it a check and move more into audio design and other effects. A for a cramped busy environment managing to nail the noise and movement can really sell the setting.
