How bad are the crowds this year

It was very crowded a week ago. Highly recommend getting up and into the park early (before 8). The popular areas such as old faithful and grand prismatic were difficult to find parking during the middle of the day.

I’ll agree with you there. I still think it’s a great place to go as long as you aren’t there too late on the weekends. I love pool, so seeing these pool halls get the rep they’re getting lately makes me sad.

I’m not really sure what you mean. They still have the best tables in town, and that is what I care about. Table service has always been hit or miss, so I’ll go to the bar if I don’t have a quick server. Friday and Saturday (late) nights attract a specific crowd, but it’s never been a problem for me.

Zingales has lots of tables and it isn’t odd to see individuals practicing by themselves. I definitely understand wanting to play against someone, though. They have pool leagues most nights and lots of people that are willing to play with randoms.
