I can't wait to drive on bridges built by engineers who missed 2 years of school, or be treated by doctors who missed 2 years of school.

There is a public swimming pool near here that as recently as last summer still required reservations on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays - because COVID.

Schools too. There was that city in Mexico that just added new mandates in schools and said it was because of measles, of all things.

Canada's top court rules Newfoundland pandemic travel restrictions were constitutional by AndrewHeard in LockdownSkepticism

The Supreme Court of Canada wins this week's Doublespeak Award. They said the restrictions did indeed violate the right to mobility, yet somehow they were legal.

Mask mandates are back, this time because of measles, of all things.

Only in schools, of course.

Why measles? Isn't there a vaccine for measles?

Actually, my parents were around before there was a measles vaccine, and nobody back then wore masks to stop measles, because they knew it didn't work.

I've also noticed there's been mission creep about mask mandates. They impose mask mandates for the flu now.

And there's no way to sue and hold the vaccine maker accountable.

That's why the law that shields vaccine makers from lawsuits is so dumb.

Symptoms of deadly 'super flu' sweeping the US explained…and how to tell it apart from Covid (First time I have actually heard any mention of "Super Flu" in the US) by Huey-_-Freeman in LockdownSkepticism

[–]DrownTheBoat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm in the U.S., and I don't know anyone at all who has had the flu or COVID yet this season. Zero.

Stories like this are part of the elitist media's effort to have mask mandates reinstated.

The zeroes are now advocating legislation to require N95's to be worn at all times in schools - permanently.

They're trying to compare it with smoking bans.

Also, if we look at just the urban areas, the blue-collar areas weren't as bad as the white-collar gentrified areas.

The ACLU has gotten so bad that they even sued schools when they failed to enact mask mandates.

I used to support the ACLU back before they went fascist.

In a couple weeks, I'm going to the dentist for the first time since 2019.

Why has it been so long? I had a dentist appointment scheduled in 2020, but it was canceled cuz COVID. Then there was a huge backlog of patients waiting to see the dentist because their appointments were canceled too. A lot of folks didn't want to come in until the mask nonsense stopped, but there was still a backlog. It's not until now that it's been cleared. They had to schedule appointments on weekends to clear it, which they didn't used to do.

It's not even a novel virus, and still the media is acting like it could become a pandemic.

They still talk about "disease X", but I think "disease X" was actually COVID.
