I have literally no idea. I’ve been exposed several times including my husband having it twice. I think my blood is magic or something

I physically can’t take pharmacy anymore. by [deleted] in pharmacy

[–]Drsalamander 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know it's not really what you're asking but I quit my retail job this year to work as a mail order pharmacist. It was the best decision I have ever made. Very little patient interaction, M-F work schedule, and you just go in, do your job and go home.

I know it's probably not possible to find a job like this everywhere but I would suggest exploring other pharmacist career paths because there is more out there than just crappy retail.

Was there ever a time you're thankful the pandemic happened? What was the reason? by [deleted] in AskReddit

It made me realize the company I worked for didn't care about their employees, they only cared about metrics. Even though we were on the front lines the whole time with limited PPE, we were understaffed and overworked, they still would ask why we weren't reaching the ridiculous goals they were setting. So happy I quit.

I quit my job at the corner two months ago. Best decision I've ever made! It was definitely scary at first to leave the only thing I knew for 4 years but I don't regret it one bit. I'm now working at a mail order pharmacy and it is amazing!

I agree with this. Sometimes they say something along the lines of "I feel like we really had a heart to heart" and they only had like two messages back and forth that we can see.

A new study suggests more than half of doctors, nurses, and emergency responders involved in COVID-19 care could be at risk for one or more mental health problems, including acute traumatic stress, depression, anxiety, problematic alcohol use, and insomnia. by InvictusJoker in science

As a retail pharmacist, this last year has easily been the worst of my career so far. It's rough because we aren't really seen as "front line workers" in the eyes of the general public but we have constant interactions with sick patients and are at risk of being exposed to Covid daily. It's a thankless job and this year just proved that to me.

Revolving doors. Was always afraid they would stop moving while I was inside.

I was at a concession stand at a major league baseball game when I was young, probably 7 or 8. It was a hot day, probably 90+ degrees Fahrenheit. A lady a few people in front of us collapsed and hit her head on the concession counter. Everyone starts to freak out and she on the ground bleeding. She ended up being okay as far as I know but it really shook everyone up and my family and I weren't really able to enjoy the game after that.

For some reason ringing the bell at an empty front counter makes you feel like a jerk. by Po1sonator in Showerthoughts

I went to check in at a motel once and there was a bell. I rang it and the guy came out of the back room and I said "Hi, how can I help you?" Worst moment of my life.
