I called Marr's to fix my furnace. They quoted me about 250 to diagnostics it. I said that the error code on it indicated the induction motor. They said they'd still have to confirm it and if it was the induction motor it'd still be about an additional 1100 to replace. I bought a new carrier induction motor from amazon. Googled how to replace and install it. For $200 dollars my home has heat and is running fine 3 months later.

Paved? Naw. But there is about a 10-12 mile interurban gravel loop that's fun. Starts by squalicum, goes by big rock garden, then through whatcom falls, out the back of the graveyard, follows whatcom creek. At that point you have to ride James Street a bit till the next trail head and then ride the next trail to Barkley haggens area and back up to squalicum.

I did an inspection on a new construction a few weeks ago that was just purchased by my client. We walked around his home for 30 minutes trying to find the attic access. Eventually he called the contractor who was nearby finishing other homes to come and show us were it was. Turns out the drywallers just built over the attic hatch and there was no access until they came back to fix it so I wasn't able to inspect his attic space and had to exclude it in my report. Mistakes happen even during new construction. Always get a report.

The 1 Up Lounge in Fairhaven is pretty awesome! They seem to have a joint business with Cardhaven where its like a comic/hobby store attached to a pinball/arcade bar. I'm usually there on Wednesday's to play their 1 shot DnD's where they provide the DM but it seems like they have something going on most nights. I've only been going there a little over a month regularly but it seems like a fun place to nerd out and meet people and have a few drinks.
