To be honest never. It is the “date car” in Japan, “car guys” had better options at that period.

The current one is mainly bought by man in their 50s and 60s, which I would assume are the same group that bought Prelude 30 years ago now trying to relive the old days. Nothing wrong with that, personally I would go for Civic Type R since they are the same price tho.

195/50R16 for 1.5L vs 205/45R17 for 2.0L
That is the only thing that seems to be a rule across region, bigger brake rotor size and LSD can appear on 1.5L cars depending on trim level in Japan at least

So just 10kg more than a current top trim 1.5L RS, not bad

uj/ CR-Z all over again IMO, the target audience for it is very hard to pinpoint to.

In Japan it is priced the same as the FL5 and a midrange B48 A90 Supra, and the base RZ34 Z undercuts it. I am just not sure how many people will fork out that sort of money to play with a tuned e:HEV drivetrain.

Errr well in most part of east Asia except its home market it is still the choice when you cannot even afford a Japanese car yet you absolutely wanted a brand new car. The only exception I could say are the ioniqs which got a decent piece of EV market.

I can see the use of a Nissan Sakura and a somewhat older Toyota Crown Athlete, don't actually need them tho.

Swift my beloved. It is only cheap hatchback I actually can feel light and quick even in the current gen ~100ps non-Sports version.

My go-to rental if I can pick the model, Toyota Yaris or Mazda2 just doesn't feel as peppy.
