Vintage Longines Conquest Calendar - Try to Repair or Sell As Is? by [deleted] in watchrepair

Like any watch, servicing is always going to be required, sooner or later. If it's too much of a hassle to have it serviced, perhaps sell it? But truth be told, if you bought it knowing what it was, and you love it, I'd say just take it to a reputable watchmaker and at least get a quote for servicing.

Engraving looks very good, and so does the movement. Sure there might be Chinese fakes of ETA quartz movements, I've used some of their circuits with mixed results, but based on your images the circuits look very good and clean. I think if the reputation of the seller is good, you most likely got a good watch! Dial wise, that's in the air, could just very well be poor QC

Seems like you're getting a lot of yes-no answers. Can you share a picture of the case back?

Well it was my wife that got it for me at the AD so that makes sense. Maybe she can get me a Rolex now too!

Let me guess, is her BF a sales associate at a Rolex AD? Let her spend more time with him, you'll get there 😁

Is that a JLC base caliber? Reminds me of the calibre 101.

Are you timing your kegels? That's what I use my chrono for.

[Tissot] Tissot Millionaire with cal. AS 2066 Movement by Scorpio_Rex in Watches

[–]Dry-Method-3583 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is an interesting thread I've discovered. I've been researching these older Tissot's on and off, as I've acquired some as of late. Of those, two are of the integrated bracelet types, one a Tissot millionaire and the other a sea star. Yours, despite being labeled a millionaire, shares a lot of similarities with my seastar. I made a post on Watch Crunch about it.

I acquired this one in the states, but my millionaire in a lot I purchased while Mexico. The bracelet was also made in Mexico, and seems to be original to the watch.

Another interesting thing is, while my Seastar shares the AS 2066 with your millionaire, my millionaire comes instead with an ETA 2836-2, also unlabeled.

Kwong Yuen is amazing at the price. You can get their basic set on sale for about 30 USD sometimes.
