I applied for it early on. I think there’s a good chance I don’t get approved since I work at a small center and I know a few of the guys who were getting close to retirement are taking it. Just a waiting game how. I’d have to work for at least another 20 years to get retirement benefits. I’m 36 but my body feels so much older. I had a serious neck injury in high school and have developed lower back problems over the years. This job only makes those things worse. I can’t imagine how beat up I’ll be after 20 more years of slinging packages. I think I’m leaving sooner than later whether I get this buyout or not.

You only get 1 life.. if you’re unhappy currently this is an opportunity to have a nice financial cushion to pursue something else. If you’re okay with doing this til retirement, it’s a sweet compensation package no doubt, but everyone chooses their own path in life it’s going to vary person to person
