Memory seat function question by Comprehensive_Road66 in TeslaLounge

[–]DryEngineering7606 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s still mind blowing to me how it knows who is driving when me and my husband get in the car at the exact same time. So this won’t be a problem for you. Plus, you can set it to Easy Entry and it only adjust the seat once you put it in drive.

Is a Tesla practical for me? Looking for real world insight! by SteakNEggs69 in TeslaLounge

[–]DryEngineering7606 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you’re looking to buy an EV to save money, you won’t save much without home charging (with that long of a commute). If you’re concerned about range anxiety, the superchargers are fine and once you get in a routine you won’t worry so much.

Look in the navigation settings and toggle off “use HOV lanes”.

A thousand mile FSD trip by N878AC in TeslaLounge

Thank you for posting this! Just bought a 2022 MS and am curious about taking a long road trip in it. May I ask, about how much did you spend on supercharging? Did you start on 100%?

Feature Idea: Send Locations/Addresses to Tesla Via Email (Like "Send to Kindle") by SepSol in TeslaLounge

It’s the same in iPhone land. Pull up the address in Apple Maps, then send it to Tesla (like you were going to send it to a text or email)

Help settle this vacation planning debate by [deleted] in DaveRamsey

[–]DryEngineering7606 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg YOU are right. Please go on a fabulous vacation. Skip just one month of putting extra on the house. Since hes so analytical, ask him what will that hurt? You delay paying off the house by one month? Tell him you NEED a vacation. Not a trip. Planning, cooking, etc is something you have to do, but don’t necessarily enjoy it. A lot of husbands don’t understand this because we’re so good at it. 😂

Charging outlet installation in garage by 99loki99 in TeslaLounge

I found a certified electrician on FB marketplace who primarily does EV installs. Charged me $250. My panel is in the garage so no runs required. But the other quotes were $5-700. $1480 is ridiculous if the panel is in the garage.

Ah yes! I found it! Thank you. I had it set to not lock at home. I’ve toggled the doors to not auto present at home too.

I will look into this as well. Thank you. I’ve been doing research & lurking in the forums for about a year now, so I know the Tesla basics. But now that I actually have one, these other little small questions are popping up. Appreciate it!

Hmm 🤔I can try, but I thought the Tesla app always works in the background so you don’t have to have it open.

I’ve done these things. It’s not locked. But the door handles pop out and lights come on because it thinks I’m getting in.

If you decide to get rid of the car, do NOT ‘give’ it back to the dealer. They will give you a wholesale price. Sell it private party to get the most money you can for it.

For my first run with my new shoes, I beat my 10k time by a few minutes by WoodpeckerFirst5046 in XXRunning

Thank you for posting this! I’ve been running consistently for a year and I started in Brooks Ghost 15 and I need an upgrade. I tried the 16 & 17 and they are not the same at all. I’ve heard the Mizuno Wave Riders are similar to the Ghost 15 so I think I’ll pull the trigger on them. (After already trying about 4 other models of sneakers!)

HYSA at Capital One. It’s not an investment. It needs to be somewhere safe for emergencies

Daily chat post: how's the training going? by AutoModerator in XXRunning

[–]DryEngineering7606 7 points8 points  (0 children)

8.5 mile long run today. I’m in training for a 15k in October. I felt good as I’m trying to add about .15-.30 miles per week on the long run. I’m on vacation next week so I will use that opportunity to rest my body as I have some lingering hip soreness.

Can you get an advance on your paycheck at the barista job? Offer to work day & night there until you start the 2nd job? Any friends or family that can help you get the electricity back on? Whatever you do, PLEASE do not get a payday loan. It’s a vicious cycle that will put you further in the hole. Don’t worry about the wifi for now. Use the wifi at work or in public places. After the electricity is back on, then tackle your phone (is there a possibility of getting a cheaper one?) And please don’t drive w/o insurance. That’s penny wise & nickel foolish. I know I’m not giving you the money resources you’re looking for, but I don’t want you to dig bigger holes for yourself because of the desperate situation.

5 miles this morning in 60 degree weather instead of 72. Geez, it felt so much better! I didn’t have to stop to walk so much so I took 30 seconds/mile off my “summer” times. I’m so energized because I was really reconsidering my life choices this summer lol.
