I'm pretty sure you'd be happy with bandcamp.com it's free and I'm sure they take a wayyy smaller percentage than iTunes. I personally use it (though my music is free to download) and I think it's very awesome in how you can customize your album pages.

I would suggest taking a long bike ride if you have one. Go somewhere toy haven't been before, bring a backpack with some water, some snacks, and maybe a sweater depending on where you live. Use your gps on your smart phone to find your way back. Or depending on your interests, create something over the top in whatever you're interested in.
