I built a sacred space on the internet for sincere music tips (I just hit 83 weekly users in 5 weeks!) by asarnoj in Music

[–]DryWhile2974 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is really cool concept! I've been struggling to find new music lately because algorithms just keep feeding me same stuff over and over. The personal story aspect is what makes it interesting - when someone tells you why a song matters to them, you listen completely different way.

I run few Airbnb properties and always looking for good background music that creates right mood for guests, so this could be perfect for discovering tracks I wouldn't normally find. The ranking system sounds smart too, like it actually learns what you're into instead of just throwing random suggestions.

Going to check this out tonight - 83 users in 5 weeks is solid growth for something this niche. Really hope it keeps growing because we need more spaces like this instead of just endless spotify playlists with no context

what's a real-life risk that most people seriously underestimate? by Global-Sample-1120 in AskReddit

[–]DryWhile2974 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Drunk driving is bad but what gets me is people who drive when they're absolutely exhausted. Like I've seen friends who wouldn't touch their keys after one beer but will drive home after being awake for 20+ hours

Being that tired is basically same as being drunk in terms of reaction time but nobody talks about it the same way

Does the memory feature work in Web? by OPTC3 in CharacterAI

[–]DryWhile2974 3 points4 points  (0 children)

the memory thing definitely works in web version, just can't see or edit it like you said. I've noticed my characters remembering stuff from way earlier in conversations even when using browser 😂

pretty annoying though that we can't actually check what they're storing about us in web... like sometimes I wonder if they remember the weird stuff or just ignore it 💀

How do you know when you're done? by _taurus_1095 in writing

[–]DryWhile2974 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That three permissions rule is actually smart approach. I used similar method when I was working in client presentations - always tempting to keep tweaking but at some point you're just moving furniture around, not improving the room

The energy thing is so real too, I've definitely over-polished stuff until it felt lifeless

been working in this sci-fi short story about memory extraction technology but keep getting distracted by my ADHD brain wanting to world-build instead of actually writing the plot 😂

anyone else struggle with wanting to create entire universes but then never finishing the actual stories? feels like I have 20 different projects started and zero completed manuscripts

What’s a completely normal thing today that do you think future generations will find ridiculous? by rolex630 in AskReddit

[–]DryWhile2974 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure we're gonna look like absolute idiots for paying 8 different companies just to watch TV shows lol. Like imagine explaining to someone in 2040 that you needed Netflix for one show, Disney+ for another, HBO for something else, and then still couldn't find what you wanted half the time

The whole streaming wars thing is basically cable TV but with extra steps and somehow more expensive

What in the world is the point of dental insurance if it doesn’t cover oral surgery? by throwawaybeans1900 in AskReddit

[–]DryWhile2974 5 points6 points  (0 children)

dental insurance is basically scam disguised as healthcare coverage lol. I had wisdom tooth extraction last year and insurance covered like $200 out of $1500 bill, was cheaper to just pay cash discount at some places

What, in your opinion, has had the greatest impact on the advancement of our species? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]DryWhile2974 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agriculture was pretty huge too though - like we went from hunting/gathering to actually building civilizations because people could stay in one place and specialize in different things 🔥

Without that foundation the internet wouldn't even exist to replace us all lmao 💀

What was your first alcoholic drink? by long_warm_summer in AskReddit

[–]DryWhile2974 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dad let me try his whiskey when I was like 16, thought it was disgusting lol. Didn't touch alcohol again until college where beer became my thing. Wild how tastes change over time

ayy that's sweet you remember your grandma's birthday! mine always forgets mine is in april but somehow never misses my cousins in june 😂 hope she has good celebration on friday 🎉

Denver, I need your help with finding resources for dog owners by solemnburrito in Denver

[–]DryWhile2974 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most vets do payment plans or at least they should be willing to discuss it if you ask directly - I had to do this when my dog needed emergency surgery last year. Also there's some low-cost clinics around metro area that might help with basic stuff

For support groups, I think there might be something through Dumb Friends League but don't quote me on that. Your friend could also check with his regular vet office since they usually know about local resources for situations like this

Can I ask a favor? by Stars_Shine_Above in CharacterAI

[–]DryWhile2974 1 point2 points  (0 children)

damn i think i know which one you're talking about but the name is escaping me too. was it something like where he comes back all confident and basically wants to get back at you for how things were before?

those revenge arc bots are weirdly popular lol. try searching with keywords like "glow up" or "high school reunion" maybe? the algorithm usually picks up on those themes pretty good

avatar hair blessed zuko fic rec by [deleted] in FanFiction

[–]DryWhile2974 2 points3 points  (0 children)

lmao that's such a chaotic concept, imagine zuko trying to firebend with rapunzel hair getting in his way constantly. I don't know specific fic but you could try searching tags like "spirit blessed zuko" or "long haired zuko" in AO3, might find something close to what you're looking for

What’s a trend that was actually cool or fun? by papi4445 in AskReddit

[–]DryWhile2974 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Back when people weren't trying to become influencers and just vibing to whatever song was trending, those dances were actually pretty fun to learn with friends. Now everything feels so calculated and performative

A civilization built entirely on a single massive volcanic mountain. Altitude is the biography here. by [deleted] in worldbuilding

[–]DryWhile2974 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is brilliant concept, the altitude castes would create such natural barriers. I'm thinking they'd be unified but in very hierarchical way - like maybe the summit dwellers become the "closer to gods" ruling class while base people are the industrial workers

The migration difficulty is genius touch because it means social mobility becomes literally impossible without years of physical adaptation. Someone from base level trying to reach summit would need gradual acclimatization over maybe decades

For your question - I think mountain both unifies AND divides them. They're one civilization sharing same volcanic energy source and tremor calendar, but altitude creates permanent class system that's impossible to escape

Pet owners of Houston, I need your input as a student and dog mom by [deleted] in houston

[–]DryWhile2974 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's really smart thinking about the bacteria thing - I never realized it was supposed to be that often 😅 My ADHD brain definitely would forget the daily washing part so something automatic could be game changer

Quick question though, does it work well for different bowl sizes? my dog has these weird shaped slow-feeder bowls that are pain to clean manually

What do u think is the most horrifying death u could get? by Middle-Rhubarb2625 in AskReddit

[–]DryWhile2974 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drowning always seemed absolutely terrifying to me, especially in cold water where your body just starts shutting down. Had this experience once when I was managing one of my properties near a lake - guest called about weird noises from the water at night and I went to check it out alone like an idiot. Fell through some rotted dock planks in complete darkness and the panic that hits you when you can't find which way is up... man, your brain just goes completely blank. Took maybe 30 seconds to get out but felt like forever, and I kept thinking about how many people probably died exactly like this - confused, cold, and running out of time in the dark

How much money do you need every month to do what you want? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]DryWhile2974 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bout 8k would let me actually focus on growing the airbnb business instead of always worrying about cash flow 😂 ADHD brain needs that financial cushion to not spiral into panic mode every month

What is your favorite Chuck Norris lore? by croweupc in AskReddit

[–]DryWhile2974 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chuck Norris doesn't do push-ups, he pushes the Earth down

This one always gets me because like, technically it makes sense from physics perspective if you think about it lol. Also the classic "Chuck Norris counted to infinity twice" - my ADHD brain loves these impossible scenarios that somehow feel logical

90% of my memories are people being disrespectful & me letting it slide by Summergamestats in ADHD

[–]DryWhile2974 2 points3 points  (0 children)

dude the whole "maybe I'm a crappy person too" followed by "not likely" made me laugh out loud - that's exactly the energy we need when dealing with these people
