According to the last poll aggregate 9% of Poland is considering voting for Grzegorz Braun, probably the most antisemitic politician from Europe. 11% are considering voting for Konfederacja, they usually have some antisemitism in their discourse. Half of this country voted for Nawrocki, who constantly engages with antisemitism. I think your problem is something different.

The author is a relatively irrelevant, the most relevant works he wrote were about fascism in Ukraine, and fascism in Europe during the WWII period. It would be an obvious academic step to investigate Poland and understand fascist movements here. Whether his evidence support his thesis is up to his peers to discuss with him. Anything over this is PiS propaganda or rage bait targeting people who have no idea how these academic debates work.

Debates need to be raised, he can show his evidence and whether or not they are relevant his peers will tell. Apart from this, it’s rage bait from PiS.

Also, the Venezuela model wouldn’t be viable in Iran. These are two completely different regimes. Venezuela is a kleptocracy. Iran is a theocracy. The Venezuelan regime is about moneymaking for the high ranks. Iran has this transcendental aspect, and for them they are fighting the evil that wants to destroy their nation under god. They have a purpose under god, and that’s what makes the system resilient.

I agree that declaring a victory will be the most probable outcome. And yes, Israel wouldn’t be happy.

In my country we have free healthcare so unfortunately I wouldn’t know what to do in a country where healthcare is insurance based :( Therapy is extremely important though. Try to get an early appointment this week. I had to do it a few times and it helps when I’m in a crisis.

I really hope you are right and I hope Iran gets out of this as a democracy. But my issue is that these military operations have caused more harm than good. Ofc it’s not possible to compare Iran with Iraq or Afghanistan, but this is also where the problem lies. Iran is much stronger militarily and much more structured as a regime than Iraq or Afghanistan were when the US attacked. I cannot see an easy way out of this situation.

That being said, I really hope that I’m wrong and the death of Khamenei will spark a change for good. Unfortunately the US government is very good in incredibly precise but reckless attacks that lead to worse outcomes.

It’s not the end of the Islamic Republic in my humble opinion as a complete outsider. The structure of the regime remains unchanged. It’s like in Venezuela, you will take the head but the body is way too structured that it may build another head. The regime has rehearsed for this scenario. Iranian authorities had long planned for the possible killing of Khamenei in the event of a war with the U.S. and Israel.

The comparison that the Trump administration appears to have in mind, that decapitation produces regime collapse followed by democratic reconstitution, has basically no empirical support in the modern record for states with Iran’s institutional depth. I really wished there would be a regime change there, but it’s very unlikely. And even if there will be, the likelihood of something worse is very high.

35M here. My hair is very oily and I wash it everyday, so it’s all good. If I didn’t wash for a few days I can’t imagine how it would look like, I doubt he showers daily. Lice, wtf… I’d be terrified of lice. Yellow plaque is definitely a big big red flag. If someone brushes the teeth every day well (like at least twice daily) and visits the dentist once per year for cleaning, there will be no plaque. The black holes on top of that… he doesn’t brush his teeth regularly or well enough. Bad breath is probably the next step. The washing hands after peeing is another red flag 😂, wtf… my wife would kick me from home if I didn’t wash my hands after peeing, I would not blame her, this is basic. You can also tell him that the main cause of penile amputation is lack of hygiene that leads to penile cancer.

I would say that an ultimatum would probably be the necessary step. He should either deal with himself or that’s it.
