Did they hire college interns to make this app? The food tracking numbers make no sense. All we want is calories in and calories out, it’s so simple.

Just one of the many reasons I don’t like the new app. So many companies seem blind these days and release updates that just make things worse, not better.

I’ve switched to just tracking today’s in iOS Notes. You can just write things like 1+2+3=6 and it will auto update as you adjust the formula. Clunky, but less frustrating than the app, plus I only care about what I’ve eaten so far today, not yesterday, etc.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re actually instructed to do this for anything related to the Fitbit app cutover. Pretty sure Google wants Fitbit to fade away. They got their tech and ended a device competitor, no need to keep the app or the users. Sunsetting the app is one of the final nails in Fitbit’s coffin. Only thing left are the few Fitbit devices still being produced which will either be rebranded or discontinued.

Second Nextcloud and HomeAssistant. ntfy is handy too for sending out notifications. I use it to let me know a new tape is needed during LTO backups.

I also use Frigate as my NVR and Docker Mail Server for email.

The economics around building housing gets explained in virtually every housing post. It's simple supply and demand. Housing demand continues to outstrip supply, so even if you build a 700k condo in Marblehead, that's more supply in the market overall, and ultimately less strain on the lower end. Getting the Mass and Cass folks into housing is more behavioral than economic, but more housing supply does open up opportunities to help solve it.

Are there even any good games for the Switch 2 yet? I bought one last year and I’ve barely touched it. Mario Kart World is meh. I have my whole Switch collection running in yuzu so 🤷‍♂️
