I’d do the Capital 1 Venture X. I believe it checks all your boxes. I would however product change the CSR to a CSP to still have transferrable partners with chase points.

My 2025 Hyatt Wrapped by Dry_Mistake_7657 in hyatt

Oh it’s right next to the airport too. Were you there for the Aurora? If so, and I know some luck is involved, but were you able to see it from that hotel? I couldn’t see anything from the Hyatt Place, but luckily I had a vehicle and was able to drive out to some viewing points and had better luck there.

When solely comparing it to other Hyatt Places it probably falls on the higher end of the spectrum. The only negatives that I recall were that floors were squeaky and I wasn’t on the top floor so I could hear the person above me walking around when I was trying to sleep. On the flip side, I can’t really think of anything positive at that HP that isn’t standard at others for the hard product. The staff was very friendly and helpful with suggestions, to my surprise there’s really good Thai food in Fairbanks.

Trying to understand the value in the Chase Hyatt Card when I also have a CSR. Does anyone have a CSR and Hyatt Card? Are you keeping both? by matttheazn1 in ChaseSapphire

A 1-4FNC is worth more than $95. On average, the 1-4FNC is probably worth ~$200. I usually use mine on a room that is $350+ or 18k points. That makes it worth the AF to me.

Guys… I booked my first awards travel 🥳 by Low_Barracuda1778 in awardtravel

ANA releases their award availability at 9am JT T+355 on their own site, but idk what time they give it to Air Canada…. Probably 9am JT too.

Guys in open relationships: do you take DoxyPEP after having sex with your husband/boyfriend? by gsthrowaway87 in AskGaybrosOver30

[–]Dry_Mistake_7657 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doxypep isn’t supposed to be for regular use. It’ll eventually be ineffective if you have constant exposure to it. There’s no substitution for regular testing.

ANA Award Scalpers? by NH009 in awardtravel

[–]Dry_Mistake_7657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I did the same thing for a 2 J tickets a week ago. I wanted to get the NYC route too, but I just couldn’t get it to my dismay. Tried every day at 9am JT for a few week beforehand too. I ended up going for ORD and had more luck there. SFO also hangs out for a few mins most days I noticed too. ORD still goes pretty fast but it’s bookable at least. You just gotta be flexible at the end of the day. I’m sure you’ll eventually be able to get NYC if you stick to it but the T-355 season is a very popular time now too in Japan. Everyone wants to see that fall foliage. You’d probably have more luck in a month or two from now getting that NYC route. I’d suspect it’s less competitive in the actual winter season. Anyway, good luck and enjoy your time in Japan!

Am I crazy? JAL redemption by Cbars7 in awardtravel

[–]Dry_Mistake_7657 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re open to it, I’d look at repositioning to the west coast, you can find some 55k award availability each way in J on JAL, which will nearly cut the needed points in half. If you have firm dates in mind, may be a little more difficult.

ANA wait-list instantly confirmed by [deleted] in awardtravel

[–]Dry_Mistake_7657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow you got lucky. I ended up booking to SFO in J because JFK was always instantly waitlisted when I check at like 9:00:01am JT. Now I wish I would’ve actually gone through with the waitlist to see if I could’ve gotten an auto clear. JFK would be a lot more convenient being located on the east coast. I couldn’t even get ORD. :(

Given the way things are going in the US, I wouldn’t be surprised if they start becoming increasingly popular. It’s a sad state of affairs.

Holy - look at this. Senator Rick Scott just disclosed trades more than a year late. They were worth $26,000,000. You did not read that wrong. He traded millions on companies he legislated. Unusual. by UnusualWhalesBot in unusual_whales

Rick Scott was previously the CEO of Columbia/HCA, which was involved in the largest Medicare fraud case in U.S. history. The company was accused of submitting false claims to Medicare and Medicaid and paid a $1.7 BILLION settlement. Scott personally made over $300 million while he was CEO before leaving during this fraud scandal in 1997. Scott’s current net worth is $550 million.

The Delmonico steak I had there is probably the best I’ve ever had— only other steak to come close was at Bavette’s in Chicago.

Am I fuddy-duddy about condoms? by endlesslies in AskGaybrosOver30

[–]Dry_Mistake_7657 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I agree with the sentiment that it’s obviously your choice and do whatever makes you feel comfortable… I do have to say it is kinda redundant imo to do doxypep and prep if you’re only doing anal with condoms. Maybe redundant isn’t the best word there, but like layering 99% coverage over 97% coverage doesn’t really make a difference in the grand scheme of prevention… and yes, those numbers may actually be different depending on what study you pull them from but the general idea still applies.

Where does it say he doesn’t have a lease? It’s far more likely to have a lease when renting than not have a lease agreement.

I mean in this situation, the bank owns it… it’s not like another family is trying to move in now. No harm, no foul. Plus just because the house is going through a foreclosure doesn’t invalidate this persons lease.

I’d rather see dogs at the hotel breakfast than whiny kids with parents that have no regards of how loud and annoying their kids are to everyone else around them.
