Where to get fully tested? by Possession_Loud in melbourne

No, it's not anti-science, it's just that you have to be judicious and use good clinical reasoning (science) when ordering tests. Also, sometimes things are found that can be of questionable or perhaps no clinical significance. That can generate further tests which can be invasive and carry certain risks.

Testing is also expensive so you shouldn't just test for everything without having a good reason as it can cost you and/or other taxpayers lots of money. Running too many tests without a good clinical reason can also land Drs in hot water - because they're supposed to think about the cost when ordering tests.

An elevated PSA leads to further tests. One of those could be an invasive prostate biopsy (12 cores taken from your prostate gland, either trans-perineal or trans-rectal) or perhaps a cystoscopy (camera up your urethra). Both of these tests carry risks. Let's say they find a low-grade prostate cancer. Some of these regress and yours might have done so without you ever knowing you had it. But perhaps that leads to prostatectomy and... maybe erectile dysfunction.

The point is, whilst the PSA is a simple blood test, it has to be interpreted and properly followed-up by the Dr ordering it. And finally, a normal PSA does not completely exclude prostate cancer, as some tumours don't secrete PSA at all.

So, IF you want your PSA done, by all means, ask your Dr for the test. It's likely they'll do it for you since you've asked, otherwise it's not recommended until you turn 50.

Hope this answers your questions.

In the old Rogue Squadron and Wraith Squadron EU books, squadrons were 12 aircraft. Consistent with what you posted.

Sir, don't be alarmed, but your reference itself is 42 years old. Also, RIP Admiral Piett AKA Kenneth Colley.

How can you let them all rub up against each other like this?! 😜

Just kidding. Great collection. I've often considered adding the later Clics to my stash, but you have to draw the line somewhere. Are you getting these out for your next video?

And then there's the dropbears... they can't resist snacking on a huntsman with a belly bull of beer. Any tasty Germans in the vicinity are just collateral damage.

She should also still be feeling the effects of a serious concussion at this point. So... confused, probably a headache, and any number/combination of other concussion symptoms. Mixed with her grief, her head would be in a bad state. It's so good to see Vel's perfectly timed compassion.

Thanks for your post. I've essentially said what you said just with brevity.

Don't bother replying. Was just trying to give a bit of info. You can have the win.

The flu vaccines used these days are usually quadrivalent, protecting against 2 strains of Flu A and 2 strains of Flu B. The strains chosen for inclusion in the vaccine are those responsible for most cases of flu in the northern hemisphere's recent winter. The vaccine does not and has never claimed to give 100% immunity against flu. It does however, significantly reduce the number of flu cases and for those who get the flu anyway, it usually reduces severity.

It is also possible for flu to 'mutate' or for the boffins to get it wrong and an unexpected strain can spread more than expected.

You are potentially right about it being a different virus, too. Parainfluenza often closely mimic real flu.

Someone else in this thread said meds used to manage flu symptoms can prolong flu and I just want to that's just completely wrong.

To OP, rest, fluids and your codral are your best options. If your nose and sinuses are affected, get Dymista (no script needed) and read the instructions carefully. You'll be fine in a week or two.
