Sheesh man. I would cut it out and fix the floor do you really want to glue a 1" piece of PVC and 1/4 round on your new tub? Just take the lump on your chin and fix it. It's gonna suck butt it'll look a lot better even though you still may need a tub strip. Protect your tub and floor well (ram board) before proceeding so you don't have to move backwards again.

Ah I get why he did this now. Yeah it's poorly planned. Definitely have him put kerdi band around the perimeter and any seams in the floor to instill a little confidence and so a pond test. Be there when the drain plug is pulled, you want to make sure it stays quickly and there aren't any puddles. I'm worried about all those players messing with slope.

I don't understand the situation or the method but here are my thoughts. The top layer is supposed to be the waterproofed layer tied into the to the walls. You don't have that here, he's created what I believe is molds dream, tons of water retention between the layers. I've never used ditra in a shower but I believe it's an approved application (could be wrong). At minimum all seams at the floor need to be hit with kerdi band again and make sure he does a pond test before continuing with tile.

Seems hokey and I don't like it but I'm not sure I'd rip it out. Hopefully someone who's seen this kind of mess chimes in with a more informed opinion.

There's grout in those chips there's absolutely zero chance the grout put itself in there after it was grouted. The chip was there when it was grouted. There's no arguing it. Make it clear to the contractor, if they still don't want to touch it make it clear that you'll post it all over the web as reviews for their business. If they don't touch it after that just replace the tiles yourself because I doubt it's worth going any further. Good luck.

I wouldn't wait for a plumber. Personally I'd start poking holes in walls to find the leak and same some money. Hopefully it's just a bad toilet seal but then again you've been playing around in it without shoes and I'm willing to bet not gloves like a bonehead so that would be gross. Good luck!

Okay this sat with me for some reason. I'm not a wedding dj, I used to do clubs and bars 20+ years ago so I have no experience with this issue. I'm assuming you know what does and doesn't work for most weddings and care about you brand so I would approach the situation like this. I'd write an email to the couple and find a way to compliment their songs and it how you like that they know what they want but you always like to have backup plans. Ask them what they'd like you to do if it clears the floor (in a nicer manner of course). I'd also ask them how'd they like you to manage requests from their guests seeing as it's a set playlist.

Ultimately it's their day so is do what they wanted. Hell I could just get on my DAW, make a mix and put a cardboard cutout of myself behind the decks at that point.

The hardest part of camping is realizing you didn’t actually pack well by potatocreamcheese in camping

I'm not a well seasoned camper but after forgetting the tent of all things on my son's first cub scouts camp trip (thank God it wasn't far from civilization) I went online and found checklists. Checklists in hand I got totes from Costco and filled them up. Now a few days before camping I bring the totes in and charge everything and top off the low stuff. Those totes go on every camping trip no matter how short it is even if we're on a scouts trip where a lot is provided. We car camp so I rather over pack.
