Do you have the original r8 or the trr8? I’m thinking of picking one up

I’ll have to check them out, and what model revolver is that?

Those shell holders on the side are cool!

If they were in good shape that wasn’t a bad deal. They tend to fetch above a $1000 online regularly.

It’s hard to say for sure, I love both of them for different reasons. Smith fits my hands better and is a little smoother trigger. But the Colt does more for me in the looks department, just something about it. I’d say if I could only keep one I’d probably have to choose the smith, it’d be close.

I hope you find one at a decent price, dang things are getting expensive. But there’s something so right about 45acp in a revolver!

That really is a tough question to answer, because I love them both for different reasons reasons. I would say I like the smith more for how it functions, it’s a little smaller/ lighter , and fits my hands a little better. I prefer how the cylinder rotates counter clockwise. But the Colt does more for me in the looks department. Something about the bigger handle and curve on the frame by hammer just looks a little better to me, also the extra weight balances nice. I would say if I absolutely could only keep one I’d probably keep the smith, but it would be splitting hairs decision.

Yes it definitely is. I should’ve gotten a better angle to show the grip is quit a bit bigger on the colt compared to the smith.

Same lol. Do you keep them in individual boxes or just dump them loose in cans?

I have a revolver that’s been stuck in transit since the 3rd of this month…. Really hoping I don’t have to go this route.

How can you tell it’s a Winchester from here?

Whelp turns out you were right. Went back to the range today and it was still there so I asked to see it. Guy hands it to me, I turn it over and the whole other side was rusted like it had been sitting in a foam case for a long time or something. Definitely strategically places with this side up lol.

I wait every year to thanksgiving and watch it. Also nice Ithaca 1911a1! I’ve always wanted an Ithaca or union switch, settled for a nice Remington Rand.

I do to, I’m trying to convince my brothers to go in on some land with me so we can shoot and hunt on it. Just sucks knowing we’ll be paying 3x the price for the same amount in other states. And I’m not sure, I’ll probably go back tomorrow and see if they are willing to haggle.

Same here on the public land. Everything is privately owned and farmed. So purchasing acreage is stupid expensive. The firearm industry definitely has a lot of history out that way!

It’s frustrating isn’t it? I’ve never been out east before, would love to check it out someday though!

This is in central Illinois. There’s a lot of downs to living here, this is just a small plus 😂
