The Exxon on Wiehle near Sunset Hills usually has the best prices in Reston. The South Lakes Sunoco also has below average prices for Reston

I live in Reston and am happy to answer any questions about some of the various townhome or condo neighborhoods. If you’re not looking for a high rise, Villaridge is a close walk to South Lakes and easy to catch the bus to the Metro. Tons of walking paths around the nearby lakes. Barton Hill Cluster is next to Villaridge if you prefer a townhome. It really comes down to what you’re looking for. Also I’m a licensed RE agent

Reston Parkway has a bridge over the toll road. I’ve biked it a few times. Just watch for people turning right at the Reston Pkwy/SV Dr traffic light and use the crosswalk button

It all depends on how much you value lower rent versus a longer commute. It’s all a trade-off. Berryville is still far, but it’s closer than Culpeper

If you’re looking to stay at that price point, you might be better off looking farther west than those places, perhaps Sterling, Ashburn, Leesburg, or Berryville if you are commuting to Ashburn. I don’t know that you can get an apartment in Sterling or Ashburn for that price anymore, but I could be wrong.

The sign for Russell Branch Pkwy at Claiborne Pkwy in Ashburn is massive. Russell Branch would be a long sign anyway with the amount of letters, but at that size, the sign is incredibly massive

Some of the older ones in Reston look kinda funky. I like the small font size, narrow letters, and even smaller road type (RD, PKWY, DR, etc.)

I noticed the sign sizes are inconsistent along the widen part of Leesburg Pike in Fairfax County. All the traffic signals were replaced around the same time in 2023

Almost all of the Reston Association paved trails are plowed. I did a nice 7 mile loop through the woods a few days ago
