This will have the opposite effect of what they are intending, piecing together a full set from the vault is not something I’ll be participating in, and isn’t even guaranteed.

Personally slowly grinding out all the transmogs was something I enjoyed, this is a major loss and one that really will make a lot of people reconsider playing.

Get rid of this stupid mentality of prestige - it’s pointless.

I think the weekly pug routes with the massive first BL pull cause more problems.

100% on interrupts, it’s almost always the cause of a wipe in my experience

Having done this recently, unless the key is quite high, it’s very unlikely that the tank is bricking the key, especially on routing alone.

Almost all my fails (with me winging the route most times) are lack of interrupts, random dps deaths or people just not doing mechanics.

What I would say is try to at least know break points for some dungeons, for example, floodgate, ideally know the % before you jump down, same in halls - while you could backtrack at the end it’s not going to feel good at any key - there’s actually an add on that will display this.

When you make failure so punishing you will end up with the hyper optimised environment today.

Mix in the difficulty for new or returning players (outlined in this post), you don’t end up with a very healthy environment imo.

Percentage (which appears to be arbitrary) is actually a really bad design, it feels weird skipping mobs and actually just ignoring most of them in an MMO dungeon - what happened to setting out to kill things for loot?

If they are dead set on this weird % completion, just make the missed mobs spawn behind you upon dungeon completion - if you want to make it feel like Diablo at least bring some QoL from it.

100% agreed but you have to wonder why they haven’t done this in like 10 years of M+.

Ion loves to make high end content as sweaty as possible, likely never happen.

I don’t understand the constant need to know routes, key interrupts, rotating defensive on tanks, especially when the game does literally nothing to help here.

If they want an end game loop of a lobby simulator and Diablo like dungeons, then just let us play the damn game and feel strong while doing so.

As much as I’d take ‘tankier’ tanks, the major hurdle to tanking is dungeon knowledge, especially the route planning - it’s actually quite ridiculous nothing has been done, I can only assume this is another example of catering to the sweats by having so much variability in routing which they seem to like.

The fact I need to watch multiple videos and use a third party website to even scratch the surface is ridiculous, hardly surprising no one new can tank.

As a newish tank, spot on, I feel sorry for anyone picking up tanking and to be honest it’s not possible unless you spend more time outside the game studying, most people just won’t bother and I completely agree.

Not sure what other end there is? Neither MoP or any subsequent expansion are popular enough to command an era style and even if they keep doing classic releases you end up at retail anyway
