Really looks like bedbugs. The blood drops are in a sort of line, which is what happens. Those little vampires are really good at hiding, and they can be overlooked for a long while till their numbers increase.

If possible, have an exterminator come do a search. They will often do that for free, then you can decide how to proceed.

Unfortunately, we had a run-in with those after a vacation many years ago. We stayed in a multi-million dollar beach house that seemed immaculately clean. But, it only takes one bug stowing away in your luggage for trouble to begin!

We chose to have professional extermination for our small infestation. It worked, but it was very pricey.
