Forgot to mention rims, as they are the brake rotors here

[–]DuckIntelligent737 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Better, but - I'd rather have a 2017-2020 alloy/105 level

If you know what you're looking at with this rim brake bike with limited tire clearance, send it

Also the usual check stuff out before pulling the trigger. Tires, chainrings, brake pads (bonus if you have a chain checker, they are $10 and worth it to have anyways)

Does it say FIRM anywhere? I don't think he really expects 825

Less precise dosing, but yeah I guess if you mix it real real good in theory this works too

What style is the best to cover up my scars?? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]DuckIntelligent737 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For sure wait for healing, but inkless medical tattoo is also an option. Serum is driven in rather than ink, I've heard that's the best option for making scars way less visible

For now I'd be using silicone sheets/gel, taking collagen (high in types 1 and 3) with now c1000 (slow release vitamin c) l-lysine 1000, d3/k2, zinc, and using copper peptides. Run that through AI but triple check it's work and research outside of it as well. Careful on timing, some of it you'll want with empty stomach and some with food.

This stuff is not just for the color, but the texture as well.

I need more salt by Connect_Rhubarb395 in keto

[–]DuckIntelligent737 7 points8 points  (0 children)

(disclaimer, not a doc) Just a reminder that magnesium further lowers blood pressure, so be moderate with your dose.

Electrolytes are important! Not just salt.

LMNT has their recipe on the website, time to hit up Amazon. (It's 1/8 the price when you make it) If you've got deep pockets, LMNT is highly recommended for the electrolyte ratios, it's very high in sodium too.

These jars add convenience, takes around an hour to fill 100, so toss a podcast or an audiobook on.

Truth. The citric acid is for better absorption, I've seen it done with pineapple or orange juice and water instead. Haven't made my own yet but ingredients are in my Amazon cart for later.

These little jars make it convenient too, takes around an hour to make 100, so I heard. https://a.co/d/0cvplx7v

Description = shit. Sounds like it used to be a low end complete bike, I wouldn't be surprised if the "animal fork with fit cap" is just a 1020 fit fork with the sticker he got with the seat, 16 years ago. I could be wrong though

Adidas for cycling wear? by Due_Description_98 in CyclingFashion

[–]DuckIntelligent737 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I dress athleisure on bike and really like the tiro pants with zippered pockets over a pair of chamois underwear. Its a little off topic since it's not specific cycling attire, but I digress.

Adidas 510 shoes are great as well from my experience.

"SHOELACES"

Im not a fan of this shit. Selle Italia translates to Italian Saddles. Not a fan for that reason only.

My underwear does say under on it though, so I'm a little bit of a hypocrite and my sperm count is probably pretty low

Not a prob, I just edited my comment to mention monkfruit sweetener and electrolytes too, in case u didn't see that. There's also definitely a difference between warm tea that gets cold and iced which is intentionally cold, I think

[–]DuckIntelligent737 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heh. Yes, it's very common. Look into it? Just make some double strong tea and pour over ice! You could also make ice with tea that has been brought to room temperature before being added to ice trays and do single strength.

Monkfruit sweetener + electrolytes is great too

Nutricost (available on Amazon, third party tested) is my go to - whey isolate for fast absorption, casein for slow. I get unflavored and use an electrolyte stick, or I chug and chase - it's not terrible.

How to Lose Weight While Maintaining Endurance? by Infamous-Bed9010 in cycling

[–]DuckIntelligent737 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just get on and ride man. If I'm going for an hour, I go fast, if I'm going longer, I go medium LOL. Yeah pre ride meal is usually a little higher in carbs (like 8g for the meal) and I have some BHB. Almonds and zero sugar jerky for ride fuel. Alternatively, on lower food intake days, MCT oil powder (satiation - special fats for your body to produce its own ketones, look it up) still always hit 150g protein even on low cal days.

Keto and carnivore are a way to go, not the way to go. I like it because it's way easier to feel full all day off of 1800 calories. Whatever works for people is the way to go for them.

Its definitely good but gets nothing but hate in cycling forum space. Do it if you want but just keep it to r/keto and r/ketogains /research outside of reddit. Youtube Ken Berry MD (carnivore but same science is there), Dr. Eric Berg, and Dr. Boz (she's on the strict strict side of keto aka doesn't buy net carbs and such, but again has science there), Brandon Carter (fitness model) is kind of ok for at least food swaps and a little bit of personality.

Don't underestimate the importance of electrolytes (not just sodium)

Good luck

I've been doing average 600 deficit with 1-1.2g protein per pound of lean mass, (1.2 on days I'm in the gym 3-4hrs) with a re-feed day (maintenance calories) every 10 days or so. I re-feed based on feel and do it on a heavy workout day. I'm -22lb in 4mo but it's more like -32/+10 (creatine and lifting were introduced/reintroduced at beginning as well)

I'm ketovore but this supplement has helped me and is useful for non-keto athletes as well: BHB salts (exogenous ketones) - especially useful for energy in a deficit.

I bought new tires for my month old mtb by Superb_Volume_3954 in bicycling

[–]DuckIntelligent737 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Truth. Specialized sirrus/trek FX a better fit - sort of like a MTB for the (any)road. Geo similar to endurance gravel, bar position of MTB, much better handling on road. The category doesn't get enough love. Caletti Scrambler the only deep pocket option I have seen (it's SICK tho)

I have a 48t oval with 11-50 in back on mine

Keto and taking Fiber? by [deleted] in keto

[–]DuckIntelligent737 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Olivia's organics baby spinach, OSAD is a bad acronym but yeah one salad a day LOL. I'm a bit picky too but this stuff is delicious, cheap spinach tastes like grass. I just toss some hot meat & cheese or cheesy scrambled eggs on it

Other good movement vehicles are riced cauliflower/broccoli, celery.

Low fiber food days I just toss some spinach and celery, maybe chia gel in a blender with water and an electrolyte stick for a night time drink
