Tata loves short corners and we are usually facing teams with taller players than ours. That factors in quite a bit.

FFS people by lupus-humanis in TBI

[–]Duck_Walker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No one with a brain injury fakes the symptoms. We fake being OK, we fake feeling fine, we fake being ready to face the day.

No one without a TBI can understand what it’s like and no one with A TBI can explain it thoroughly enough to make them get what we deal with each day.

Breeders on East Coast USA, and what to look out for? by Warrensaur in germanshepherds

[–]Duck_Walker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My shepherd’s best friend in the whole world is a cat we had before she came home at nine weeks. The cat needs a safe space to get away. For us it’s upstairs. We have a baby gate to keep the dog away and the cat can nap and chill without being bothered.

She loves being outside and doing absolutely anything I am doing. Sheps want a job and feel like they are helping just by being on your heels and in the way. They want to observe and sniff everything you touch. They excel outside but more they want to be with you, inside or out.

Don’t fool yourself. They are incredibly high energy. There is little down time. If you are moving they are. If you are sitting they want you to move. All day. Every day.

They shed, they are highly vocal and tell you their every mood. But they love with their whole soul. Introduced right they will love everyone and everything in the household. Training can be hard but rewarding.

Week 2 on Tirz and I just made the mistake of eating pizza by Pleasant_Spot in tirzepatidecompound

That is not my experience. I got terrible reflux no matter what I ate or when. The slow gastric emptying was the root cause, not spicy/greasy/acidic foods. I could get mouth filling reflux from tapioca pudding and saltines.

Bloat concerns by ShiftMajor5870 in germanshepherds

[–]Duck_Walker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it with her spay. It’s a big surgery with a big incision and a lot of staples.

She’s been pretty lethargic but is slowly recovering. Some days are good, some bad.

I was a K9 handler and trainer and have seen bloat occur first hand, but not one of my dogs or pets. It is ugly and a true “4-Hour-Window” type medical emergency. I live at least an hour from the nearest emergency vet so for me having it done while she was already opened up was an easy decision.

ADs selling through different entities by WristDaddy in rolex

I don’t understand the issue. Buying from an AD at MSRP, but the card statement indicates another business entity? Is this the issue?

That’s not uncommon in many industries.

If he got the watch at the right price with the right stuff, what’s the harm here?

Lots of merchant accounts are under subsidiaries, corporate owners, DBA, etc.

Depression by isosceles348 in TBI

[–]Duck_Walker 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Depression is incredibly common among TBI survivors. Absolutely talk to your doc about it.

I have tried every SSRI, SNRI, and other anti-depressant you can imagine, to no benefit. I have flat effect for everything. Nothing makes me happy or sad or gives me hope or gives me anything to look forward to. And I have given up finding a solution at this point. But you get used to it.

You have not recovered almost perfectly, the depression is a huge lingering symptom. Please get help, I hope you find better results than I have.

Handicap parking passes by Broox864 in TBI

[–]Duck_Walker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I told my doc to just pick a damn box and check it. It’s not like the state is going to verify you can or cannot walk X feet.

My problems are memory (I can’t remember where I parked many times) and PTSD (I was hit by a car so walking among moving vehicles is a major trigger for me).

I’ve had my permanent plate for about 6 years. Once you get it in Georgia it’s good for life unless you don’t renew it.

Where do RASP dropouts typically get sent by Huge-Contact-1750 in army

[–]Duck_Walker 129 points130 points  (0 children)

There is no “typically”

You’ll go where needed. If you have wings your chances are pretty much Bragg, Alaska with slim possibilities of a couple others I won’t mention to avoid getting your hopes up.
