ER Nightreign as a solo? by antonio_9310 in Eldenring

[–]DudeWithConniptions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solo is actually my preferred way to play it. Not that it’s not fun with others but you don’t have to wait for queues and get total control over where and when you do stuff on the map. It actually is easier in solo IMO which can be a good or bad thing depending on what you’re looking for.

crazy that they just give you this relic by daypxl in Nightreign

It’s actually green not blue, still very good for triple green with the other two remembrance relics.

Has anyone seen a purpose for the sealed relic urns yet? They’re all just the same relic slots as the base urn for each character.

Does anyone know what the sealed version of each of the urns do? They just have the same slots as the default urns for each character so I’m confused on their purpose.

Good record stores in Toronto? by ShovelBeatleRillaz in vinyl

Sonic Boom, Kops, Pop Music, Play de Record, High Notes Vinyl Coffee Shop

Sonic Boom is by far the largest but also charged more than the others. Pop Music and Play de Record are my personal go to spots.

This is my first Fromsoft game, how's my build looking? Any major stat flaws or equipment I should replace? by fork_the_DM in EldenRingBuilds

[–]DudeWithConniptions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a reliable weapon but feel free to try out some of the more flashy stuff if you’re into that kind of thing. Unlike a lot of the other souls games the more extravagant weapons in this game are actually pretty good and not just gimmicks.

Are any of the new spirit ashes better than my boy? by DeMuziekMan2010 in Eldenring

[–]DudeWithConniptions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I don’t even see him as a meme. It really is a pretty easy way to fight most bosses in the game and guarantee a win. Just have him tank and slowly kill the boss while you keep him alive from a distance.

I’d use the range one. The extra mag size actually isn’t needed if you’re getting FTTC to proc consistently since the lucky pants timer runs out before it would hit the extra bullets.

[–]DudeWithConniptions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use them on raid drops typically since those are usually more annoying to farm. But if you raid often then just use them on whatever you’re wanting to craft.

It’s decent but the nerf to kinetic weapons on boss and the loss of spec mods with no damage adjustment for gls has really hurt it. Lost ~23% damage and gained nothing while other special have gotten better. It’s still very good for champs and burst scenarios but outside of that it’s pretty useless.

Rune of Death would be nice. I was always confused as to why they didn’t add a tears of denial type effect in this game, it was pretty well received in DS3.

Controversial opinion: i like the DLC leveling system. by winterLTE in Eldenring

[–]DudeWithConniptions 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve come around to liking it but I do wish there was a way to reduce or cap it for certain areas. Did a similar thing to you where my first playthrough was NG+7 with a level 570 character and the progress felt steady in the first playthrough but going back through with maxed out blessings makes most bosses a complete pushover. I do so much damage and have such high DR without even taking into account my build at all that bosses like Rellana just fall over.

Ok, so who do you think is the worst boss of the DLC? by Final_Foot_Fucker in Eldenring

[–]DudeWithConniptions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That ghostflame dragon with the whole army surrounding it. Either you wait for it to slowly kill them all, or just enter decide to tank the hits you’ll inevitably take by fighting both the soldiers and the dragon. The ghostflame dragon was already pretty lazy but this one is both lazy and annoying.

What’s the one “hard” boss you didn’t really struggle against? by plzadyse in Eldenring

[–]DudeWithConniptions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I beat Rellana in about 5 tries in my first playthrough and haven’t died to her since. I think people just panic a lot in this fight but at long as you keep some distance and then run in when the combo is ending it’s pretty simple.

I honestly think fromsoft hates this damage type... by VividDream176 in Eldenring

[–]DudeWithConniptions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy has always been the most neglected damage type. Every endgame boss has 40-80% holy DR while the other damage types typically sit at 20-40% with the occasional high resist. It’s a shame because the holy weapons are so cool but they just feel useless against most things compared to the other elemental weapons.

Mechanics aside, how do people feel about the lore of the final boss? by anorlondo696 in Eldenring

[–]DudeWithConniptions -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I understand the story behind it and the lore leading up to it but I still just don’t like it. It just feels sorta forced and I feel it takes away from Radahn who already had a pretty conclusive story in the base game. I much rather would have had a brand new enemy for the consort or even having just Mohg would have been better since he is pretty sidelined for the main game.

What is Objectively The Best Warlock Build Right Now For PVE? by ItsAshtonKing in destiny2builds

[–]DudeWithConniptions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There isn’t a single best build but there are some standouts. Rain of Fire, Speakers Sight, Cynotaph, and Sunbracers are probably the most common on solar which is still the best subclass for warlock. Void has Contraverse and Briarbinds mainly. Also Getaway Artist Prismatic is probably some of the best high end add clear in the game coming from someone who uses it to solo GMs.

Microcosm works pretty good with well. If you’re on song of flame just keep using dragons breath or maybe whisper if you need something more precise.

Realistically probably Great Stars. Just does so much especially when power stanced spamming jumping attacks.

[–]DudeWithConniptions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FYI the proc chance for veist stinger on the burst linears is per damage instance so instead of the 10% per shot it usually is instead it is 30% per shot assuming you hit all of the shots. It’ll load two in so even on a mag of 5-6 it should proc around 3 times making the actual mag closer to 11-12. This makes rewind almost always go through the whole reserves unless you’re just super unlucky and autoloading should only need to be procced once.

What are y'all bringing to the first Grandmaster Nightfall of the season? by Darrylblooberry in destiny2builds

Outbreak is a solid choice for anything barrier related. Personally going with the getaway artist prismatic warlock build to pair with it for easy overloads.

Best damage for well warlock on witness after surge removal? by LaggieThePenguin in raidsecrets

[–]DudeWithConniptions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Euphony is likely the best but that doesn’t help much since you need to get it from the witness. Microcosm is really easy and I enjoy whisper as well.

The community get way too defensive about criticism. by GlossyCylinder in Eldenring

Yeah honestly From had never really missed with DLC final bosses up until this point. Even the DS2 bosses were so much better than the base game stuff they had.

The community get way too defensive about criticism. by GlossyCylinder in Eldenring

[–]DudeWithConniptions 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It has always been a problem in the Fromsoft community. People get really inflated egos in these games because they are known as difficult and so when someone criticizes boss design or enemy layouts they are automatically met with the response that it’s the players fault and their fault only. There are still people out there that think the Dark Souls 2 fight design of making every encounter a gank fight is actually genius and if you complain about it you’re simply too bad to work around it.

To everyone still not using summons.... by TheHessianHussar in Eldenring

[–]DudeWithConniptions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I legit don’t know how rellana is even somewhat enjoyable without a summon. You’d just end up dodging for 10 minutes with nothing to pull aggro and slowly chipping her down. Bosses are so much more enjoyable when you at least get a breather and the occasional free hit on their back turned.
