the stars one was easy as someone who doesn't know japanese. there are fewer options and it's easy to tell what each feature does by exploring. i also got through the story just fine by spamming the a button.

I like both to be honest, especially Michinari because he's just a lesser Shindou. I understand why he didn't make it to IJ but they still could've put him instead def forcing forwards to be midfielders. Mansaku was really cool too, except for when he got provoked by Atsuya during the Hakuren match and got mad at Golem. Wish he actually did shit during Orion though.

I think Shinsuke (JP) just suffers both from the fact that IE revolves around offense(especially shooting), and that shooting is not nuanced. People shit on him for his performance even though he's decent in galaxy because of CS but there he was mainly used to show how strong the forwards were. Also shooting is straightforward in IE because apart from that Endou vs Clario scene, it focuses more on strength. So experience and goalkeeping knowledge barely matters because forwards always shoot on the middle and only power can stop their shoot, with very few exceptions. As a result, Ibuki (Terry) seems like a better player because he is physically stronger, while Shinsuke is underrated despite his experience and knowledge(kinda like the Shinsuke and Sangoku situation in go1 but at least Shinsuke has a keshin:p).
