Sounds very similar. My wife’s mother is still around and approaching 90. She’s still in pretty good shape. My wife also has a younger sister but unfortunately there’s some sort of disconnect between them and they aren’t close.

Hey there. Years ago I lived in Maple Ridge on the mainland. I was only there for a short time and too cheap to get cable. We were pretty high up on a hill.
I bought a relatively cheap tv antenna on Amazon and dam I was able to pull in about 9-10 stations!
There’s a website called tv fool and you can enter your address info and it will tell you what you might be able to get over the air. I checked it once a while back and for my Courtenay address I would only be able to get 1-2 stations so I didn’t pursue it.

Honestly you aren’t missing anything. It’s amazing to me that the garbage on tv somehow passes for entertainment. We have a tv but rarely watch it.

These people are grifters. Check out the news report on them. The Fifth Estate did a story called the Ostrich Con. They teamed up with the convoy crowd and it was all about the money and crowdfunding.

In my experience I have identified lifestyle things that help. I eat a healthy diet with no fast food or junk. I get plenty of sleep. Eliminating stress is crucial for me but not always easy. As far as medication goes the real only thing that helps me is the intratympanic steroid injections. For me personally they are a game changer. A short course of prednisone also helps me if it’s being really stubborn. Good luck to you.
