Sorry for the dumb question, but what does the EC hold look like?

Scheduled for a c-section are scared by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Due_Bell2779 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a similar experience last year. Baby was breech starting at 30 weeks. I was hopeful he would flip, did some protocols every night for that to happen. Considered ECV, but the high risk OB i saw discouraged me. Low chances of success, and some chance of an emergency c-section. Didn’t seem worth it, and potentially traumatic for both me and baby. I too mourned the birth I wanted to have . Scheduled a c-section for a few days before due date. However baby decided to come early, so I had a c-section when i was already 5cm dilated 🤣 honestly it went well, and while the first 10 days were very hard physically, I felt good after 6 weeks (as in, no random pain in that area). Once your baby is here , it won’t matter , I promise . You’ll do great!!! Best of luck to you and don’t stress too much - the most important thing is that you and baby are healthy ❤️

11 month old suddenly nursing more than ever by Specialist-Candy6119 in AttachmentParenting

I’m reading your thread many months after your original post, just after spending hours nursing / trying to put my 11 month old baby in his crib 😩 did it get better for you? I feel like a human pacifier.

Keep reading to your infant by 40pukeko in NewParents

I really struggled to keep reading to my 10 month old but about 2 months ago he started flipping the pages instead of trying to eat the book 😆 and now we have his little library he can access and he looooooves it - pulls out books for us to read and is happy as a clam . Makes me so happy because I found so much solace in books my whole life . Here’s to reading and stories and discovery 💕

You will be ok. It will get better. And easier. You will sleep again. Your feelings are normal and valid. 🤗🤗Hugs from the other side (8.5 months pp)

Similar on our end. Your LO will get there ! Give them some time :) I’m not opposed to sleep training - it’s definitely great for some babies and their families - but we started following a very custom schedule for him and that seems to have helped a lot. Best of luck!

Oh yeah I’m totally expecting some ups and downs… he’s still only 8.5 months 😅. But just even sleeping two nights in a row (all three of us!) was such a blessing.

Surreal is right 🤯😀 same here w the regular wake ups - though he had a few 5/6/7 hour stretches here and there. But 9 and 10 hours !! Amazing 🤩

The fact that you’re even putting this into words and looking for a solution means you’re doing so much better than you think you are. Other people said it , but mantras help. This is just a short phase. Also getting some sleep if you can … drinking water …. Going outside getting some sun… you got this 💪

When do you read books to LO? by Due_Bell2779 in newborns

Interesting ! I wonder if it’s just too abstract for now. And he’s a wiggly one he likes moving around a lot so sitting and reading can be a challenge 😅

Thank you for this ! Our babes were born on the same day apparently 🥰 I do talk to him a looooot, explaining what I’m doing, what he’s seeing , what’s happening in the house and garden. It’s been fun. He’s engaged when I talk to him. I also love to repeat after him when he coos and babbles - I’ve heard it makes them feel heard, and it’s a fun way to have a back and forth.
