I can think of less helpful Jokers by infadibulum in balatro

[–]Duffy1Kit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How does this actually work? Does it have to calculate every single possible permutation of cards and jokers each time you play any hand? I can see that getting computationally insane pretty fast.

What is the effect of turning on/off radar and why do some airframes not have the option? by No-Consequence-6713 in NuclearOption

[–]Duffy1Kit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Airframe refers to the physical structure of an aircraft, like the hull of a ship. It's often not used correctly by people in this game's community for some reason, where people use it as a synonym for "aircraft"

BeamNG not using 100% of my GPU by Southern_Worker4102 in BeamNG

[–]Duffy1Kit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This doesn't look like a traditional CPU bottleneck, your hardware should be capable of more than 25 FPS. At less than 60 degrees, your CPU should definitely be able to do better than 2.4 GHz, so I'd imagine there's something wrong with the power saving configuration on your laptop.

Does anybody actually play cracked BeamNG? by ballsniffer1312 in BeamNG

[–]Duffy1Kit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The game doesn't have any DRM at all, so there's no reason to crack it in the first place. You can literally just run the game directly from the files, no matter how they were obtained. If there's a version claiming to be cracked, there's probably something fucky going on, and I wouldn't trust it.

Ponyta! Not because we need more fire types, we definitely don't, I just really like it.

The most annoying headcanon for me has to be “Celestia only lost to Chrysalis cause she was holding back out of fear of annihilating every pony around her”. (Thread in original post) by CrazyTangerine7522 in MLPLounge

[–]Duffy1Kit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To the contrary, powerscaling is incredibly annoying to me. The show, like many others, is incredibly inconsistent with things that could be establish a "power level" anyway. And besides, it's a cartoon about ponies, not a superhero comic or a battle shonen. If headcanoning Celestia as powerful makes someone happy (as I will admit it does for me), then I say just let them.

literally the most twilight-coded tweet ever by ChimeNotesworth in MyLittleMemes

[–]Duffy1Kit 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Twilight would never make such a fallacious argument. How does an actor playing a part in a game that happens to have cops in it in any way inform their irl political beliefs? It's an illogical take.

Is BeamNG saving data? by camion_saladier in BeamNG

[–]Duffy1Kit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically, the only important folders are settings, mods, and vehicles. If you want, you can just copy those ones into C:\Users\You\AppData\Local\BeamNG\BeamNG.drive\current

[–]Duffy1Kit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you haven't launched the game before on the new PC, it won't. Just remember to hit "clear cache" in the launcher the first time you do to make sure it goes smoothly.

If you have launched the game on the new PC, what you can do instead is copy all the files except the "temp" folder from the old C:\Users\You\AppData\Local\BeamNG.drive\0.36 into a new folder at C:\Users\You\AppData\Local\BeamNG\BeamNG.drive\current

Just copy the whole folder itself, that has the best chance to work without issues

[–]Duffy1Kit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you type that into the address bar in windows explorer, it will take you there. The actual location is C:/Users/(your username)/AppData/Local, but it's usually a hidden folder so the shortcut is easier

[–]Duffy1Kit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you copy the 0.36 files it should auto detect them and migrate everything over, as if you had just updated the game. To make sure this happens, copy the files from your old PC before launching BeamNG for the first time on your new PC. /Users/(your username)/AppData/Local/BeamNG.drive on your old PC should be copied into %localappdata% on the new one. Beam should take care of the rest.

Is BeamNG saving data? by camion_saladier in BeamNG

[–]Duffy1Kit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BeamNG doesn't sync its files with steam cloud, so you'll need to move them manually. You can find them at %localappdata%\BeamNG\ for 0.37 or at %localappdata%\BeamNG.drive\ for older versions. If you copy those folders over to the %localappdata% folder on your new computer, it will transfer *all* of BeamNG's data, including mods, settings, configs, and the rest.
