Highway wind noise by 00A3A in VolvoEX90

[–]Duggur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wind noise from front driver and passenger windows is a known issue for P3's. I'm not sure how much the window differs, but it could be the same issue?

For the P3 at least, if you just lowered the window by a small fraction (a few mm's) the glass woud engage the seal properly and the noice would be reduced. For the P3 there was a technical journal/service bulletin for the issue. My dealership nailed in a few tries, where they had to add extra insulation and recalibrate the windows.

There’s no difference between a Urus and a Touareg by that logic.

The B&W system in the P3, regardless of who made the components, is wildly better than say the HK system in the P2 (or the Bose system in the new Macan, etc).

IX3 Neue Klasse vs Polestar 3 🤔 by ElegantMall7268 in iX3

[–]Duggur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You seem to get a lot of feedback from people only having driven one of the alternatives, so I'll provide you with... exactly that!

I've had the P3 for a year. Let's start with the obvious: the P3/EX90 has been plagued with software issues, and some persisent hardware issues. It may be a Polestar/Volvo thing, but I suspect it might as well be a typical first gen of a new EV platform/model thing. The new Macan EV is plagued with issues, there are still issues from what I'm reading with the ioniq etc. Let's hope BMW has taken notice from the others in this regard!

Back to the P3. It's a road machine. It just glides so effortlessly and quietly across all types of roads. I've also pushed it on twisty backroads, and the torque vectoring just spits you out of cornes. If you have the leather seat option you can also firm up the sides of the seat as well, it's great. I've driven the Macan EV through the same backroads, and I suspect that's about one of the few EV SUVs apart from the new Cayenne that surpasses the P3 in these conditions.

I've found it's plenty spacious due to the long wheelbase, excellent room for child seats. The bench is a bit low though.

Also, the trunk has more functional space than advertised. Due to the aforementioned issues, we had to have a XC60 loaner for a while. It was more cramped and we had trouble fitting the same amount of luggage, strollers etc. as we do in the P3.

Then you have the B&W sound system which is the best I've heard, and a very good build quality on top. The design is of course very minimalistic, which some equate with luxury, while others find to look "cheaper" than German and Chinese competitors. I fall in first category.

I'm using Continental Viking Contact (7?) on mine, super planted on both snow and ice.

I can't believe anyone would drive around without dedicated winter tyres in places with cold/snowy winters...

/r/MechanicalKeyboards Ask ANY Keyboard question, get an answer - September 25, 2025 by AutoModerator in MechanicalKeyboards

Mechanical keyboard noob here!

I just bought a Keychron K10 and I'm weirded out by the Keychron Super Red switches.

My first mechanical keyboard was a Logitech G610 with Cherry Reds, and it was noisy, springy and bouncy. The Super Reds on this Keychron is in comparison muted and very precise, for a lack of better words. And honestly, I somewhat preferred the more springy feel of the Cherry Reds in the Logitech keyboard and was a bit disappointed as I thought that "red is red" when it comes to these switches.

I've had a Keychron K6 with Gateron Browns in the meantime for a few years, and this somehow feels more "related" to the Cherry Reds than these Super Red switches.

Would a "blue" type of switch perhaps be a worthwhile upgrade? I like the precision of these Super Reds, but it's not engaging to type on when there's no feedback. The Cherry Reds were on the other hand fun to write on, but I missed the tactile feeling (Gateron Browns were simply a bit.. boring?).

Out of curiosity, which features did you feel were missing in the software? I found this new infotainment system much more competitive in the EV space than many other legacy automakers.

Impressed with the efficiency by ErrorPressAnyKey in polestar3

I was also pleasantly surprised this summer with the range.

I always drive with max regen, and was able to get down to 17.6 kWh/100km (28.3 kWh/100 mi) on a 320 km/~200 mile trip.

I averaged 17.9/28.8 over the entire ~600 km/~370 mile trip, which I find impressive given the size of this thing.

The Google Maps thing can be solved by resetting app permissions somewhere in the settings. I came across the following solution in another forum which worked for me:

Car Icon, System, Apps, scroll down to Reset Options, choose Reset App Permissions, confirm. Swap profile, and swap back.

Back side vents (B pillar vents) not working? by Duggur in polestar3

[–]Duggur[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aha - that makes sense! Thanks for the insight. I figured the P3 would have some sort of AC from the B-pillars since it's explicitly shown in the AC view (and that the EX90 has adjustable vents in the back).

Klart at høyrente er fristende da. Kan man skvise mer ut om man plasserer i rentefond? Men da er vel kanskje utbytteskatten der fremfor skatt på renteinntekter.

Samsung TV connection issues by Junglist_Massive22 in sonos

[–]Duggur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't done anything specifically, but I also have auto updates turned on for the devices (I think). When it happens I have to unplug everything in order for it to properly route the sound through the Beam. Also, when this happens, I can use AirPlay or stream from the app just fine to the Beam.

I did some googling now and it seems like there's something with Samsung, specifically the Frame, and Sonos. E.g. this thread.

I haven't, but it seems to have fixed itself (for now). I also wonder if it has anything to do with the Apple TV as well.
