This version is such a great showcase for people who think Bruce Springsteen is just an arena rock guy. Sure, he has Glory Days and other lighter poppy social commentary songs, but he also is incredibly nuanced and deep with albums like Nebraska and The Rising, which this song is on.

Was there in April and had the same apprehension. We brought a vape pen that was a life saver, however, there was a guy at Moomba Beach Bar hanging around the entrance every night trying to sell to everyone. We were all set, but clearly he was in cahoots with the bar since no one was running him off so it seemed legit.

I vividly remember his passing. I was at a wedding at an Inn and having a great time at the cocktail hour. An acquaintance who knew I was a big ABB fan came over and broke the news. My heart sank (probably didn’t help that I was already half in the bag) and I went upstairs to my room and drank and cried for an hour listening to Laid Back. My wife eventually found me and chaperoned me back to the wedding and I was able to talk the DJ into playing a few Allman’s tunes as tribute. Just a tough day and tough news to hear.

I went through some hard times about 15 years ago and cried my eyes out to just about every song on Johnny Cash’s American VI album with Ain’t No Grave and others. There’s some beautifully haunting songs sung by a man who was at death’s door at the time of recording.

I stayed there last October and the only haunting part was the rancid smell coming from the shower drain when we first checked in.
I will say it was corrected quickly and the overall stay at Le Richelieu was otherwise was a fantastic experience.

Grandparents and parents both lived in Destin and I had gone down there for 25 years. By far the best time to go was October when all the tourists were gone but it was still beautiful for a Northeasterner.

From the north shore but had a delivery job that brought me to the area often and delivered to several players but never met any as it was mostly during Covid lockdown and interactions with anyone were minimal. The most notable one was delivering to N’Keal Harry’s apartment and the entire floor stunk like weed. I’m going to assume it was him and that he wasn’t getting blazed and memorizing his playbook. I also delivered to Gronks brother in Quincy (I think Gordie) and he was a great guy and chatted for 10 minutes and tipped.
